WPC Museum closing end of 2012

not open to the public except for special occassions more dumb things chryslers doing nowadays.

First I've heard and my dad is a volunteer there since it opened! I'll get the scoop and I have a hundred pics of the museum. It's an amazing place and this truly would be a bummer.

What do you mean dumb, they had better sales then GM & Ford last quarter!

Sounds like the Chrysler Group is buying out the Foundation. Hopefully the collection will remain intact and not sold off or sent back to the "Motherland".

It would be areal travesty, if the collection was broken up, lets hope it doesn't come to that, the Ma Mopar or Fiat/Italians have done some great things with Chrysler Corp. lately, bringing them back from the good old boys, golden parachute pensions & salaries, diving the company to bankruptcy, lets all hope they continue to do well, so our beloved Mopar cars, will continue to live on... Also hopefully, save/keep the Walter P. Chrysler collection/museum too...

That sucks, been there a couple of times and will try to get back in the next couple of weeks, I am only about a half hour away.

Outrageous if this collection is lost or paired out. Isn't this the building that was designed by
John Herlitz the father of the 70 'Cuda and 71 Roadrunner?

Bad news to hear. I'm glad we were able to get there this past August. It was a lot of fun to walk through it.

Chrysler/Fiat bought it back from the foundation, that was running it, according to 68sportsatelliteragtop... to me thats great news, it stays in Ma-Mopars hands & control...
