I guess that depends how smooth things go back together. Next time it locks up maybe just for fun loosen the nuts that hold the MC to the booster and see if the brakes release. How good is the master cyl to begin with? Is the back of the piston clean?

thats a good idea. i will do that. the master cylinder is about 6 years old. next time it does it i will loosen the bolts up on the master and see if it releases

I use "Sil-Glyde" brake lubricant. It is a for contact points and the rubber boots and O-rings. It is non-melting too. Available most everywhere.

usually its because you adjusted the left alot tighter than the right so itll pull to the strongest braking front drum

well im having the same problem right now only on my front disc brakes. mine just arent releasing. went 5 mile today and stopped and smoke was just rolling off my front discs. cant push the fluid back in the master cylinder with the line on from the caliper. took the line off the master cylinder and it pushed right in. put it back on same thing. cant push the piston back in. take it off and there it goes pushes nice and easy.

Tried to keep up with what you posted so forgive me if you've already got this fixed already then disregard this post. Often times I have seen the inner liners collaspe causing a valving situation. This will keep the brakes applied until they self bleed back down. Sometimes they won't either . Just food for thought .
