Ya Da Turdy Point buck Classic

Classic indeed.......going from being inundated with political ad's all over the airwaves to a constant barrage of The Yoopers, Turdy Point Buck and Sweaty Teddy jammin Fred Bear. Ah well much rather listen to that. Guns are clean, plot is cleared, VayKay's approved......Time to get out there. Good luck on your hunt Jay.

we have been deer hunting all week this week here in ontario. lots of doe's but no bucks. my brother's and i hunt here at my house and we get a buck or 2 every year except this year. whats up with that.

Thursday is opening day in MI. Up until recently,I had 6-7 different bucks(including a trophy-quality 10-point and an almost-as-good Niner) crossing my property or coming in from the fields behind my land. Lately,I'm down to a small 6-pointer that needs to grow and my "Movie Star" doe(who will walk right up to the camera and get her pic taken).

This rack belongs on my wall and the meat in the new freezer:

A little brother;he needs to grow up.

I've got a doe permit, but really don't want to take the Movie Star;I think she's produced the good sized deer around here. She's the only "big" doe around here;the others I've seen, which may be her offspring, are somewhat smaller.

I guess we'll have to start a hunting thread(or is this it?) to show off our trophies-or talk about the ones that got away.

Maybe this what they were singing about. From the Vintage Sleds site.

I know experienced hunters whose heartbeat would be audible if they saw that boy through the scope. Kids must not experience "buck fever". A couple of kids here in MI tagged a couple of bruisers during the youth hunt. A friend was going to come over with his son to try on my land;the yahoos down the road decided to run their quads on the adjoining property, and there was construction on the other side that day. Felt bad for the kid;wouldn't have minded him getting the 10 point, cuz some of that meat was going in my freezer.

I will come across something like that when taking a pee....my "Winchester Model 94"
unloaded at my side then get so excitied I pull my pants up and piss myself! then hear s a shot from my adjoining property!
such luck!,
Sonny

If I saw one like that here on the East Coast In Md , I would have a Sh*t Hemorage!!!. Probably a heart attack too !!!. Biggest thing we see here is maybe 12 points , and not that kind off mass. I guess they corn feed them all year, out there, like the woman !!! LOL

Yeah Da Yoopers guy!

That one would be a whitetail and pretty much the holy grail for us salt belt guys.

I've gone to a couple of "record buck" sites(good for inspiration before heading out back),and there's some MASSIVE deer in WI and MN. Jay;have you seen the video of the alleged "world record" buck up in Wisconsin posted a short time ago? I'll put the YouTube link out here. In-freaking-credible rack on this thing.

Yup that county is on the western side of wi and produces some with giant racks, but the bodies are usually smaller. They say its the minerals in the ground there that does it.

I was up in the UP of michigan for about 3 days but no luck. a few doe's and a buck that needed to grow up but nothing legal to shoot...freezer will be devoid of venison for the next year.

If there is anybody in NW Indiana willing to let me hunt on their land speak up!

Wow, What a nice one! The look on that youngsters face is priceless!
