How do we feel about the single border stripe at the rear?? Thoughts?

I like the design, it's different
'sort of' like homage to the RR hash stripes over the roof in 71
or stripes on an AAR 'cuda down the sides

what are the 'fender stripes' going to do ?, when it meets the hood ?
what's going on the hood (or will it be all black, like the roof)
I think you told US somewhere
refresh my memory

I CAN RELATE TO THE SMALL QUARTERS & PAINTING
in a Garage, lighting issues to... That's my story & I'm sticking to it

when I did my RR back in Oct. 2017,
base clear hi-poly/metallic base, hard to keep even
I thought it was fine, the sun shows any or all stuff

Yeah, I thought it was fine too until I pushed it outside. lol. Just the one quarter though. The rest is ok. The hood top and roof are Hotrod Black. I'm toying with the stripes going over onto the hood but in the copper color. lol. Also toying with adding another stripe in front of the blocks. Six or eight days still until I can clear coat it so I have a little time to play.

you know, I posted the 440 up on FB in a MOPAR Engines Group and it's a freaking hit over there. 70 people, and counting, love it. The new paint is up on a B Body page over there and they love the color.

Are you going incorporate the strip into the hood scoops? You have a great imagination go to it.

No. I have just the one Hemi hood scoop. It and the hood are black. However......lol.....I am toying with the idea of continuing the stripes onto the black hood but in the copper color....

What do you all suggest to get this new color on without it being two shades/ Do I need to get rid of the darker or the lighter sections? or what?

I saw my other post was blank?? I don't know why you can't just pic whichever you like best, prep it and throw a couple more coats on it? I do a decent bit of collision damage and blend primered panels right into a painted panel with zero problems. I always start with building enough base on the panel that doesn't match until it's close to matching then start blending in. You can't see it at all on our minivan and I even cheated on it, the good paint that actually matched was insanely expensive so I bought some cheap red, painted the primed panels until it covered then mixed half a pint of the good stuff for the final coat and voila.. looks like I used nothing but the good stuff.

Well, I painted it again in Copper Metallic. What do you think?
