I have a ‘68rr 383 4sp. I was leaning toward the TTi exhaust system from the exhaust manifolds back. I know the Year One system is 2-1/4” pipes and the TTi is 2-1/2” pipes. I have the original exhaust tips. I’m not sure if my tips will work with the TTi system. The Year One description says something about 2-1/2” tips for their system. I’ll have to measure my tips to see what I have.
Has anyone installed a Year One exhaust system? What do you think of it? Does the Year One system include an “H” pipe? There is no picture and the description is not very detailed.
As far as quality is one better than the other?
I would like to go stainless. Does TTi or someone else build a stainless steel bolt in exhaust system? What is the common consensuses?
Thanks, John

Pypes makes a decent system all stainless under 350.00 I have it installed on my Hemi car. If i remeber it's 1/2 the price of the TTI which is just aluminized Steel.

I run the TTI 3" H-Pipe Exhaust on my '69 RR. I have the Accurate Exhaust oval cut factory style polished stainless tips. Fit is real good all around. Hardware is pretty decent. Simple to install. Stainless will run you a bit more and have a TIG welder available if you're going to weld any seams. Plus side is obviously longevity. I also heard the stuff from Pypes is pretty decent for a stock set up.

I used a Year One exhaust system on my Road Runner several years ago. It fit just fine and like you stated it is just like the original. The 383 systems don't come with an h-pipe, they never did from the factory either.

Thanks for posting and the info.
I went to the “Pypes” web site and it looks like they only have “X” pipes from the cross member back and is $414.65 without mufflers. Do they sell a complete “stock” system from the cast iron exhaust manifolds to exhaust tips?
The Year One 2-1/4” exhaust (PN AE60B) is $665.99 vs the TTI 2-1/2” exhaust (B25MWM6870) with H pipe for $639.00. I’m having trouble paying more for a 2-1/4 inch exhaust just because it’s stock. If the Year One was stainless steel I would not have a problem paying more for it. The TTi sure seems like the best value.
I want stock so; I’ll just keep looking around for a while. Meanwhile I’ll measure the pipes and muffler inlet and outlet to see what I have now. It had headers.

i have a 2 1/2" tti exhaust from the manifolds back on my '69 r/t and fit was very good. i have a tti 3" exhaust with their 2" headers on my '65 coronet and fit was amazing for how large the pipes are. i may be doing a 3rd tti set in a few months.

I want worried about stock. I used TTI 3" from hooker headers with an "X" pipe. Fit like a glove.

If you want correct, try Accurate Exhaust, I believe they have all the old factory dies.

The Accurate Exhaust Products (PN CBS6869ET) are $730.00 and are not stainless either. There info is more detailed about what you get and possible better quality than Year One. Still the TTi looks to be the best value. Thanks for posting.

used tti some years back. super nice fit with no installation issues. actually it was the easiest part of the whole build.

TTI should be a vendor o FBBO and give us discounts for all the free advertising.

My 69 Coronet R/T has 2" TTI headers and a complete 3" TTI header back exhaust (mandril bent) with H-pipe and correct looking (since the pipes are 3") tips. Perfect fit but don't believe what they say about being able to R/R the starter without removing the driver side header; even with a mini starter.

x2, 3 and 4. Even with my Powermaster mini starter, the 2" headers have to come loose so you can wiggle, spin, turn around that mini starter to get it just right to squeeze out. I think I even unbolt the driver side motor mount and tip the motor over for more room. Let's not even get started about what a PIA it is trying to connect/disconnect the starter wires with those big tubes in the way.
