Because they charge a handling fee on everything else... But they get great rates from UPS and Fedex

IDK, everything I've bought from either Summit.com or their ebay store has had very reasonable shipping regardless of order dollar total.

I agree with everyone that Y.O.'s shipping charges are out of line. The only time I buy from them is if I can use a 30% off sale and get several items to reduce the freight charges. They do sell decent products and their customer support is good also imo. They would sell more products if the shipping was reasonable, but maybe they figure business is good enough?

Never bought anything from them, never will. I will try to keep trackof my nuts, so I don't have to order more.

The ones from a JY 5th Ave will have the same, toothed, captive washer, but it will be slightly larger, providing a better safeguard against pulling through the floor.
