I found this most interesting because my engine is modified and I have no base standard to go by. Whatcha think?

and the total skinny on PCV valves is here:

This, in my opinion is well worth the read.
After reading this, I decided to check my own PCV out, and at idle the poppet was all the way up and fluttering ( from piston intake), and that's with only 11 inches of vacuum. I put my thumb over the opening and the engine settled down and smoothed out as well as dropped a bit to a smoother idle. I can all but imagine when I'm at 60 and the "in-car" vacuum gauge is showing 21 inches of vacuum exactly where that poppet is inside the housing. I do not believe that PCV valves should go directly to the manifold, rather the inlet at the base of the carb where piston vacuum pulses aren't as evident. I have no idea what would be the proper PCV valve for my engine but I'm going to try one of these. What the hell, it's only money.

Ok, I'm just an old shadetree hack.
Who knew a PCV valve was so complex, and I've spent so many years throwing them away when I could have one of these. Something else to agonize over while tuning............not. but it does come with 2 Allen wrenches for $129, what a deal, hope they are Snap On.
What next? Adjustable EGR valves?
Stroker air injection pumps?
Does K&N make a high flow charcoal canister?
Questions for the ages:rofl:

Left handed Allen Wrenches! Even

Ya I saw those and posted them a while back and was curious if anyone had tried them. Pretty ingenious but pricey too.
Let us know how it works!

I ordered one due to excessive on-hand cash and thought it wouldn't be the worse waste of money if it didn't work as stated. I think it will work great, especially on my low vacuum 512. I'll get back after it's installed and give you a personal critique on it's usefulness. I like the idea there's a 30 day money back guarantee. Wish other parts came that way.

Well I am sure we have some racers around her that would buy them! We have a vacuum rule here and if its adjustable you could get away with a bigger cam.
