...my daughter is a veterinarian nurse and she's babysitting one of the hospital's dogs this weekend. She sent me a picture and I tried to load it for you but it didn't work. It's a 16 week old English Cream Golden Retriever. An expensive dog. It was taken in by Animal Services. It has been abused. It has one broken hip that's healed. It has two broken legs beneath the knees on the back legs. It has cigarette burns on its paws. The nurses are taking turns taking it home and trying to restore this dog's faith in humans. My daughter said the smallest thing can scare the puppy, like the sound of tearing open an envelope. I wish you could see the pictures.

Animal cruelty is a felony in Colorado. I hope the owners get the maximum sentence.

Who the f@ck does that to an animal? Sometimes I think we are hopeless as a society. I hope those people have the same fate or worse than the dog.

If they’ll do that to a dog, they’ll do that to a human, those people need to be hanged!

I couldn't stand to see pictures of an abused animal, best they didn't load, at least for me. For people like that, how about an eye for an eye. See how they get along with a broken hip, 2 broken legs, and burnt feet.

The pictures are of a sweet lovable beautiful puppy nothing showing injuries.

Our third dog was a rescue dog. Black Lab. They thought he was about a year old when we got him. I think he was older. He didn't know how to walk up stairs. He grew and was a sweetheart. But generally a "fraidy dog". He was a sweetheart. He became very friendly to most everyone. Our other Black Lab was an obnoxious female. She was the Alpha and would push the big dog around.
But our rescue dog got big, 110#. One day I was in the garage, heard the dog barking, went out, there was a guy at the end of the driveway. He said "that dog came around the side of the house, scared the hell out of me". I replied, "that's what he is supposed to do". Even with his fears, he was such a good dog.
I can't imagine why a person would mistreat an animal to create that fear.

Those that would torture an animal like that are human pieces of S---.
As punishment , they should all be treated in the same exact manner as the defenseless animal was.
Lots of sicko's out there.

Puppies are a lot like children, very resilient. Given a little time, patience and love and he'll learn to trust humans again.

It’s the same with anyone that beats their wives, girlfriends, children, or pedophiles. Some swear they’re sorry, crying like a baby, and will never do it again…but how many do it again and again? They’re mentally deranged and sometimes ends with someone dead. Too many stories of how poorly these people are dealt with in our system; as such they’re able to do it…again and again. It meets the definition of insanity.

Some folks are dead inside….and should be dead all around

People who abuse animals are sociopaths and studies have shown that mass murderers often abused animals as children.
There’s no treatment for that psychiatric condition either. We need to rebuild all the insane asylums and lock them up there where they aren’t a danger to society, human or animals.

For every one psychopath that would harm an animal there are 10 people that would nurse that dog/animal back to health. We have 3 stinky cats and 2 dogs. One cat was discounted at the local petsmart because it had one eye. We adopted her she is the most loving cat I have ever seen. Both of the other cats are cast away that someone got then decided they couldn't take care of them. Same as the 2 dogs. Clover and Peanut or as the wife calls her Penny. Either way the problems stem from people that are not willing to do the work that it takes to take care of them.

3 weeks ago this pos bus driver run over a beautiful 4 month old puppy, I noticed this because of the crying of the dog, the ****** just keep driving likes nothing happened he did not dodge the puppy or honk or brake, people stood like idiots watching the poor baby in pain, I have two choices to follow the driver or take the puppy to the vet, I did the second, the x ray show us a terrible picture crushed hip and organs bleeding, nothing left to do except to put her down, I cry because it was so hard for me to imagine the terrible life of a stray dog and this animal, the driver, do not respect her life, I buried her under a pine tree in a peaceful and silent meadow, Hate myself for not being able to do more.

Don't hate yourself.
You have posted about rescues that you have made before. You are most definitely part of the solution and NOT part of the problem!

Reminds me of a video I saw a few years ago I think was taken off U soon after it was posted. It was in China showing a toddler get hit by a delivery van and the front tire running him over stopping just before the toddler was going to be run over by the rear tire. The child was still alive as his arms were outreached, hands in a fist, and trembling. After several seconds the van driver starts going again running him over with the rear tire. There this kid is on the street, flattened lower part of body with blood oozing. What’s more? A lady walking with her kid views this and steps around and keeps walking! What dee F huh..

Why would we want to feed and house POS"S like this? Bullet and a Back hoe would be the proper way to fix worthless fks like this

Stories like this make me so angry.

Friends of mine has a rescue dog named Oakley. She was a recued pit bull, but she had been too weak to fight well, so instead she was used to teach other dogs to attack. Then she was taken to a field, shot and left there. Somehow she survived, was taken in and healed. She was then adopted by my friends. Oakley was never able to walk well; she had a weird walk because she didn't seem to have full control of her back legs. The strange part is she didn't like dogs, but was still the sweetest thing with people. She should have hated people for what they did to her, but I guess she didn't see it that way. Anyway, at least she had a wonderful life with my friends, but what a horrible way to start life.

Problem is we’re too civilized for this as more states ended the death penalty and are so concerned about a painless execution. Yeah…like the scum who raped, tortured, and strangled a young gal to death dumping her body like it was garbage. Her demise was very long and painful, as her parents got to learn about what happened to their daughter. Or the father I watched on the news in a courtroom trying to get to the guy that raped his daughter…took 3 big cops, with much difficulty, to keep him from reaching the POS. I’d say allow the father 5 minutes, maybe 3 (ya know being civilized) in a room with the POS before they cart his *** to jail. I’ve mentioned before; the uncivilized are burying the civilized.
Over the years I’ve become angrier with how we treat scum in our country. Could be the unending more frequent news about murders, thefts, rampant shootings, etc. We try to enact more pussy laws to confront it…one problem though…laws mean squat to the lawless…IMO unless they resemble an eye for an eye. Anyway, what's being done is not WORKING.
