Just wondered does anyone else keep an eye on how many "thanks" they have?

Do you feel good when u see the number go up? Do you feel appreciated or is it more you feel like your welcomed as a part of the community here and that's just like a handshake and a thanks brotha

Thanks for asking. Yes it makes me feel good, just like burnin rubber :pimp_daddy: I'm easy to make happy.

I think it's a great feature, you can see whom it has helped or whom agrees with your posts... I always look for the thanks tab on other forums, none have them

I have thanked many helpful people 5,249 times, for agreeing with me or great or even helpful posts for someone else, not just my posts/threads... but it's allot more than I've been thanked, I'm only @ 1,950 times in 1,400+ posts/threads...LOL...

but who's counting...LOL...

This is kinda how I see it. I learn a lot on these forums and being able to thank a poster shows them that somebody was able to benefit from them sharing their knowledge.

I don't keep an eye on any count, but I do tend to pay attention if someone has extended thanks on a post. It does feel good to know someone appreciates the time you took to lend your 2 cents to help, give ideas or just extend some kind words. On the flip side, I like the feature of being able to give thanks as well. The best way of a firm handshake along with a "hey thanks", or buying a guy a beer is obviously not possible, but it is nice to be able to show in some way to a fellow member that you really do appreciate what they had to post.

Because every post I make is a cut above the rest, there is no need to thank me. And because I don't thanked all that often, it makes me realize that most of you feel the same and I thank you all for that.

LOL...I think you must have got bit by that funky calamity in your avatar...

I love the feature! It is unique and a nice way to connect the community

I've got a bunch of help and ideas from allot of people here and the thanks at least shows you appreciate their input and advice.

X2 and X2 to Budnicks and the rest .. its nice to know you've helped someone, made them laugh, or that they appreciated your support in their efforts. I give out thanks as well for helpful tips, how to's, things that make me laugh cause we all can use plenty of that, and for folks sharing their rides and giving me and others ideas or sheer pleasure in viewing the Mopar ****.

I want to thank coloradodave and 99ss for their posts. Any thread. I rest my case.

It's always good to give thanks! :) Can I thank myself for saying that??

Btw, most boards that are going with the newer vBulletin system has the thanks feature incorporated....

I'd like to suggest a "WTF" counter. I can see it now...the following user says WTF for this post. Anybody care to predict who would make the leader board in that category?

I like the Thanks button (and probably tend to wear it out around here -- I love you guys) ... and I like that WTF idea too. But it would be used a lot more over on FABO. :D

I wish fabo had the same thank you format as it does here. that way we know who is thanking who for what lmao

I must thank you for just being yourself. You are like the Grand Exalted Poobah of this forum. I bow down to your infinite wisdom.:icon_pray:
