Covid Vaccine. Please Do Not make this political.

Not sure when the shot will be available even though I am high risk. Consider this a "Thank You" to all that will be test subjects. Hopefully when the time comes my doctor and I can come to a safe conclusion that none of my health problems will adversely be affected by the vaccine.

Wife works in front line health, actually laying hands on the sick. All day, every day. She’s getting it. I work in all the government buildings including the hospital, I’ll get it.
This isn’t a political statement, it how it is: you don’t have to get the vaccine, none of us care whether you do or not, whether you live or die or not. Big brother, whoever that may be, really doesn’t care about you and your little life. Get over yourself. If you choose not to take precautions that’s fine. If you get sick with this stay home and get sick or die. Don’t go out or to a hospital and potentially kill innocent, smart, hardworking folks. If this is a hoax you’ll be fine.

I don't believe it is a hoax as I know people whom have it or has had it. But I have adverse reactions to certain medications. I would prefer this one not be another one of those. If your wife works front line she will know what I am talking about. I am hoping they monitor the heck out of those that take this. I hopes some record of what triggers adverse effect is know before the question of taking it or not is the thing to do.
If not for that taking it would be no problem.

There is unfortunately so much misinformation about vaccines in general. I spent 20 years in pharmaceutical research, and worked on a few vaccines. Unfortunately they typically take a long time to develop and study, so we just don't know everything there is to know about the effectiveness and longevity of the Covid vaccines that are out right now.

In short, here is how a vaccine works:

• A small amount of genetic material is injected into your body. In the past (e.g. the early polio vaccine), it was actually a small amount of actual polio and you could get polio from it. Nowadays, the virus is attenuated or killed so that can't happen.
• Once the material is in your body, you react to it and your body learns how to fight this invader. Since the virus can't replicate, you can't get the disease from it. However, you can and often do feel a bad for a day or so and may even run a fever. This is good, actually, it means your body has geared up to learn to fight the invader.
• Now your body has learned to fight the virus - based on the vaccine. If you get exposed, your body already has the tools to fight the invader before it can take over too many cells and begin replicating.

  -BUT:
  covid vaccines don’t work this way, they are mRNA based and work differently. In short they teach our cells how to make a protein, then the protein triggers an immune response, the immune response then makes antibodies which prevent infection should the real virus enter your body. People generally are not going to have it because they "live in fear" (unless they are old or vulnerable...in which case it's fair enough to be a bit scared). They are taking it as there is a risk they might die if they get it. This risk gets much higher as you get older but unless you are a child there is the risk (small in many cases...but still real) of serious and long term illness no matter what your age or current health. If you want to risk that....that's fine....it's equally fine if you don't.

Yeah, I agree that private industry will pretty much force everyone to get it unless they just want to stay home and be a hermit. No travel on airlines, cruise ships, overseas. No gambling in casino's, no attending sports games etc. I see the private industry making this happen without the feds lifting a finger. Costco? Home Depot? etc......it will be interesting to see what the policies become over the next year or so. One school district that doesn't force its employees and students to be vaccinated prohibited to travel to other schools for sports games. Could get messy and pretty angry I suppose.

Imo, any and everyone in the medical industry especially, should be knowledgeable of the ill effects nano tech has on the body.

Imagine a vaccine so safe you have to be threatened to take it, for a disease so deadly, you have to be tested to know you have it.

I spend a lot of time in Africa and many with checks on arrival and now have received a number of updates from the airlines I us that they will start requiring vaccinations sometime next yeay. So yes I will get the vaccine.
