Two Barrel Carburetor Change

The Edelbrock DP4B or the Performer are fine for you. But so would be the factory 2806301 cast iron intake. 650 cfm-ish carb of your liking.

I would do a dual exhaust system before I’d change the intake and carburetor.
To clarify the car is not driving right now. I’m finishing up the brakes and front suspension. I’m gonna get both the intake/carb and exhaust replaced before it is on the road. Right now half the exhaust is off the car.

Roger that. I have a lead on someone local that has a few factory mopar intakes. I am checking the numbers. Thanks for that information.

Ive kept mine with the original Holley 4 barrel and manifolds. thought about changing it but everyone tells me since its a survivor to leave it as is. It goes its fun.

Wow, so what you’re saying is to get a manifold and a carb? I really did not even think of that. Enlightening….
Choose wisely my son …..

I have posted pics of an Edelbrock manifold and carb on a new thread, titled carb questions I think. I also have the stock 2 barrel and manifold sitting nearby. Mine is a 318, so they may suggest a slightly bigger carb. The stock manifold weighs a lot more than the aluminum unit.

Another thing to consider is if you have A/C. Some aftermarket manifolds don't have all the bosses for the factory brackets. And some factory brackets won't clear taller runners.

Quick update. I found a stock original intake here locally that’s in great shape (part # 2806301). I’m gonna go with the Edelbrock AVS2, 1906. Have a couple questions. What gasket should I get for the intake? Also is there anything additional that I’ll need to get for the Carburetor that doesn’t come with it? I have not done an intake/carburetor install before.
