Anybody here have pypes mufflers or have heard them in person. I can't figure if I like them or not. I like no drone and an aggressive tone when I get on it.

I've watched a bunch of videos but I cant really guage how they are at idle. Seems almost stock.

Im guessing I would probably want the street one which is supposed to be 2nd to loudest.

Might wanna look at Gibsom MWAs also.... i put them on my car.. but they were a little loud and i don't wanna piss of neighbors for no reason.. zero drone though. these are 3" on a 318

I have the pypes turbo pro muffs along with their whole kit on my vette. I’m happy with the sound but for the little I drive that car the muffs already looks pretty cruddy.

Those are them in the video? I definitely want something quieter than that.
ah sorry.. i thought you wanted no drone and aggressive :)

I ended up switching to these mufflers which also haven't had any drone and quieted it down a lot

I have Pypes on my Nova but have not ran it enough to give a solid opinion. They do sound good though. Mine are Race Pro because when I was looking around, people implied the Street Pro actually had more drone than the straight through race.

I have Pypes on one of my cars and I, as well as everyone else, love their sound. I'll describe it as "Thrush-ish".

Kevin states free shipping, then later says 10% off and free shipping:

the new Stainless steel Flowmasters Flow FX
straight threw/at an angle center entry side exit style muflers
they make them for all kinds of applications

not excessively loud, good tone
mellow inside the cab/interior

Flow FX Mufflers like $59.99 at Summit IIRC

Exhaust Flowmasters FlowFX Mufflers 3 in. stainless steel stright thru offset flo-71229 $53.96.jpg

I don't have them a buddy of mine put them on his Ram Hemi truck,
cool sound & no drone, I liked them

cautions;
too big of diameter, of an exhaust pipe
will add drone, bouncing pressure waves coming back, making a drone noise
especially if you don't have a X or H pipe, installed
or on the proper sizes pipes (too big), for your/the specific power levels

a 275hp to 350hp 318' (sbm) doesn't need a 3" pipe or 3" mufflers,
a 2-1/4 or 2-1/2" for the higher HP, for a lil' motor is more than plenty, with duals
a well put together 383 or 440 (or stroker) w/400hp+ (to about 600hp)
could/should use 3" with an X or H pipe about 18"s back from the headers
or before the crossmember without headers & stock manifolds
& use tailpipes all the way out the back, if you don't want any drone

good luck

this isn't his truck but a good representation

That made me do a quick search since it will be exhaust time for me soon for my 318, and Amazon has a pair of the FlowFX mufflers for $119. The 2.5 kind.
