Yeah its been hit and miss. I know we borrowed one for our race weekend but I thought it was from a 73. But I could be wrong. I know its only for the Cali Emissions cars.
Long story short one of our guys tossed the vapor canister in our 72 Coronet. Anybody have one. We used one from a Road Runner as a temp unit but needing another. Looks like this. Its the four line setup. Also looking for the cover that goes over that but we could make one if needed. Located in...
So found what we need. This solved all the issues. So looks like we are on the hunt for one at some point. Might be 71-72 only. Will have to do some research.
So we have sourced a loaner 73? B body vapor canister. Going to try that. Switched the fuel pump out but still getting the same pressure. Hopefully we will find out soon.
Hey everyone.
We're at a lemons race and having major issues with our gas tank venting. Our tank is a four line setup. The car was a Cali emissions car but the vapor box is gone. Currently we have a rubber line from the tank to the top of the trunk. Picture will be attached. We are using one...
Yeah so this weekend its probably getting some KYB cause were racing this Friday- Sunday at the CMP lemons race. Might hunt the catalog for the next race. We sill need to check pinion angle and get the car to the alignment shop. Figure out some valve covers.
As for the wheels it looks like...
So looking for 23inch at full droop. These konis are 21 inch at full extension. The bushings also look like they have been used and abused. Stock shocks are showing 22.5 everywhere. So looks like new shocks are in order. Curious why the konis are that much shorter.
Yeah we did not think about that. The perch has not moved at all. However these konis are a couple inches short. So looks it's a parts store run for some shocks.
Hey everyone. Working on our 72 coronet. We just did some two inch lowering blocks to get the rake better in our car. However our shocks are now to short as the shock mount has dropped down two inches. So these will not work as if we go over a bump we can over extend the shock and even break...
So on those the tire on the left was mine. It was on a stock 15x6 inch wheel. if you look at it its very pinched in. Really the 225 is not recommended on a 6 inch wheel. But my tire was sitting on the tire. Buddies 15x9 is on the right. As you can see in the side wall its stretched. His was...
They were not. Both were the 225/45/15 rs4 Hankook. Its amazing what rim width can do. Why we are wanting to at least run a 9 inch wheel but would prefer a 10 or more to get some more with advantage. Shoot in Maita land a 205 was fastest on an 15x8 inch wheel and a 225 was fastest on the 15x9...
Yep. Found out that they can be loose in the air. I thought they needed to be stiff at all times. Kind of like now my miatas springs would get loose in the air. Either way I was over thinking everything. Just loosened the bolts and bam everything is fixed.
Yeah we have many miles on the RS4. This was our first lemons car. Then we went to a miata and did 12 races and about 10k race miles. Most of those on the Rs4. We won a lucky dog championship, almost won a full 24 hour race. 2nd out of 89 in that one. The RS4 last on track and can take some...
Not enough. It's actually a wheel off buddies 350z. I have the same. 18x10 et 25. It's getting spacers to clear. But we are balling on a 10k budget and wheels are not in that. So stealing our 350z wheels for this April lemons race. I think that tire is either a 265 or 275/35/18. Chances are we...
So just got off the phone with firm feel. He said the same thing. Pretty much the adjusters can be loose in the air but not on the ground. Next step is crank the bars down.....way way down.
Alright the other guys on the team did some digging while I was working. So the car had some sort of sway bar on it. We completely removed it but it was not binding up. Either way its completely off at this point. Torsion bars were checked and they are labeled L and R. Bother were in their...
