Been collecting parts I will need over last 14 years - mostly interior parts. I was able to run the car when I bought it (rebuilt carb, fresh oil and gas), restarted it last month. I spent the last 4 weeks stripping it down and sent to body shop last week. CA car so very little rust - couple of...

Don67Satellite - the Coronet project has been stalled while we did three additions to the house and have also been working on complete restoration of a 71 Challenger RT. That resto is nearing completion so I have stripped down the Coronet and delivered it to the body shop. I will start a...
Finally figuring out how to shrink photo file sizes so they will upload - here are pics of the tag.
Thanks for the info on the codes. Is there any way to figure out manufacturing plant if it is not on the Fender tag?
Hello fellow Mopar nuts!
I have finally started working on my 68 Coronet 500 restoration and first task is decoding the fender tag (unfortunately no build sheet so far).
Here is what I have from the tag
First Line: a6 b4 h7 m6
Second Line: H1 R1 X2
Third Line: 19 25 78 AX1 TRM-P6W PMI-WP2...
1 Wild R/T - I am also in California (central coast) and looking for someone that can repair/polish and possibly even duplicate stainless trim (I have a B-body that is missing rocker trim on one side). Who is your local guy (contact info)? Thanks a heap for the help!
Quick update - got the doors and trunk aligned and shutting/sealing correctly (will need new gaskets after paint). Removed the hood and taking it and right front fender with me to class this weekend, will learn metal bumping and shrinking at Sunchaser. Will try and get some before and after...
Thanks for the tips!
Thanks, guys, the more I look at mine the more confusing it gets. It looks like there are several large holes next to some of the windshield clips that look like drain holes, but not positive. THey could be there from factory to drain rainwater from under the trim, they...
Thanks, yeah the more I look at it, the more it looks like that windshield has got to come out. But it looks like that may be difficult without removing the dash. One thing leads to another. May just be better to take it to a local glass shop for a professional opinion....
Just picked up my first Mopar, a 68 Coronet, and the front lower windshield trim is off (found it in the trunk). I cleaned up the channel but all but two of the clips are gone, and it looks like there are small holes in the channel where they used to be. Are these clips installed with screws...
Thanks, guys! Will definitely post pictures as I go - where is the best place on this site to do that, set up a gallery??
Also, anybody familiar with Sunchaser School of Metal Work in Pasadena, CA? Wondering if I should try that or a local community college body class to get started?
I'm not usually very lucky but I got lucky this time! It was well hidden - in the motel parking lot behind the building, and it is not a very busy hotel anymore. I think most people just saw the car under the cover and never gave it a second look, but I recognized the shape of those rear...
Mopar ****
OK, I did get some pictures of the car today, and now you can tell me if I got a good deal or not. As I said, the body is a bit rough, but no rust - a good CA car!
I have included some shots from all angles. Have removed much of the interior to start prepping for body work (and...
