It dosent pay to be an *** and I just figured I could save another cool car. I'm not heart broken about not getting the car (I needed it like I need a hole in the head) but I really wanted to save it from rotting!
I think I've had my share of cool cars so at this point I hope if I dont end up...
Well, I paid for this car about two weeks ago, had the signed title and the keys but didnt go after the car until this weekend.
I backed the trailer up to the Belvedere and was getting ready to load it when the daughter of the lady I bought the car from started crying and having a little...
Never been a 4door fan and I`m not a big fan of the trim on the front fenders that goes back to the crazy wheel openings but....... I LOVE the fins!!!:headbang:
If it where a 2dr hardtop, it would have a place in my shop until someone offered crazy money for it.
It's a 60 Belvedere, the big brother to the 60 Fury in "Riding the Bullet".
I'm a sucker for any old car (and just about any old object) so I could'nt stand to see this beast sit and rot.
The car needs a new master cylinder and the exhaust manifold cracked so I`m thinking its gonna get split...
I'm just right down here in Ashland and I work in Columbia.
I'd love to hook up with some Mopar guys locally (cant have too many parts connections).
If your ever in Lowes you may see my 64 out front from time to time.
I also know about some local Coronets that would blow your mind....:eek...
I got a little of the story:
Original owner was 45 when he bought the car, he raced it a little and then he passed away in the (I think) mid 70s. The car sat with the wife of the original owner until 1990? when the second owner bought the car.
The second owner ran the car down the road one...
Thanks again for the welcomes.
My 68 was originaly a goldish sport Satellite with a 318. All the Roadrunner goodies came from a wrecked 68. The car now has a 440 and is currently being resprayed orange (I love the color and its a factory 68 shade).
As for the T, I found that body in an old...
LOL, You sure? It's Chevy powered.
Maybe one of these days I`ll finish up the T and paint the Fury. Gotta couple of 40 Fords waiting to be built as well.
Thanks for the welcome, happy to be here-Tony
Well, I might as well get the first post out of the way.
My name is Tony and I have a 68 RoadRunner "clone" and a 64 Fury with a factory PB 727 and 361.
I logged on here because it looks like a great resorce for my B-body needs and questions, who knows, maybe I can answer a few myself...
