Never thought about doing the stripes this way, good idea, I like it! And if you don't like them down the road they can be removed much easier than paint.
Hey, I just went onto ebay & typed in "168 led" as lots of listing came up. Several were 10 or 20 bulbs in a pack for $6-8. I remember 198s were a compatible switch out too.
Anyways, good luck to ya.
No problem, hope you find a better deal there which I'm sure you will. I believe I went with the cool white with mine too, it seemed to just enhance the factory colors while making them brighter.
I have to tell you something funny and ironic. When you posted pics of your car I recognized one...
You mentioned you wanted to source out some cheaper bulbs. I changed all my bulbs in my '66 Belvedere dash and other places with the LEDs too. As you said, Much brighter!! I simply went onto Ebay and typed in the bulb # and led, like 194 led bulb and thousands of listings came up. I bought...
thank you for that information

oh it fit in underneath the dash opening and the bracket went right up against it but I had to put some hard rubber spacers in so that the bracket did not crush the wiring. my big problem was that the length of it was about an inch and a half...
Wondering if there is sopose to be a difference between 66 belvedere lower dash chrome that travels the distance of the dash and wraps up & over the steering column? My 66 chrome was pretty pitted and rusted but had some from my 67 satellite. ....seems as if the lower sections are shorter for...
Here we go again. I'm building a 1966 belvedere. Originally it had power steering and I didn't care for it. I had a 1967 satellite big block manual steering car so I pulled the steering ox and column out of it. I tried installing the set up in my 66 and it didn't seem to go together. Is there a...
I looked on their website but didn't see a listing for seat foams for my year/model, just seat covers which I already have. Moparsteve pm'd me and said he has options for me so I will be looking into that. I also found listings on summit for foams so that will be my other option. Thanks guys.
PUI ha? I will look into it, thanks. No this car won't be driven that much and I'm 6' 190lbs. The nicer stuff will be used in my Roadrunner. This car is just something to play with a bit on weekends here and there. Need something to play with while Roadrunner is being built.
So, looking for suggestions on who sells bucket seat buns-foam? I'm needing a pair for my 1966 belvedere. If someone on the forum has a pair they want to sell I would more than entertain that also. I am looking for a good deal on them too because this car is being built as a hot rod, not a show...
I was at a car show and saw a guy had his factory radio in place but he pulled open his cigarette tray and there was a control panel for his radio and aux hook up. Clean and out of the way in a place that doesn't get used anyway.
That was my assumption but wanted to ask. I have some heavy gauge sheet metal (12 & 14 gauge) I can my own braces. I will be doing something to reinforce tho. This is an auto car but am pushing the high 400hp range and further with the blue baby bottle on it so reinforcement will be a good idea...
Ok, so this might just be a stupid question but I'm installing bucket seats into my 66 Belvedere where there use to be a bench from factory (car was bought with c-body buckets someone else installed). My question is, is there another reason other than strengthening the floor a bit to add the...
This sounds exactly like my issue. I'm am very curious as to what it might be.
Does yours do it even with just turning the key on without starting the engine or turning anything on?
Nope, this car is not an A/C car. Heater controls not even hooked up. This seems to be coming from right behind the dash cluster.

I did forget to mention that when this sound is made the dash lights dim also and then it click sound comes on and they brighten back up again
Ok guys, I want to throw this out there. My '66 Belvedere has this annoying sound that generates behind the dash. Now this only happens after the key is turned on. I don't even have to start the car or turn the lights on. Shortly after turning the key on a heavy click is heard behind the dash...
A couple thoughts I had. Whenever I own something like this my friends are ALWAYS wanting to borrow it so you buy it, use it and then let them use it (and store it of course) until you are ready for it again.
Or better yet, buy one, use it and then BE that person who rents it. Someone else is...
