Picture uploaded is as it sits on the wheels I'm changing from. Standard on the front 5.5j and 7j on the rear.
I'm looking to go the Torque Thrust D style as the BS on my rears is only 3 3/4" so they rub the inside of the outer wheel wells. Even more so now my suspension works. I had air...
I've spent an age trying to find a matched front and rear set of wheels for my 66 Coronet Hardtop. The struggle as those with 66s will well know is the tight rear wheel wells. I've found Rocket Racing Fuel wheels available in a 15x7" with a 4 1/4 backspace and after careful measuring they look...
Just to update this thread. I ordered a pair of leafs from ESPO +1", 6 leaf driver and 7 leaf passenger, new shackles, new u bolts and front hanger bolts. Due to arrive Monday. Will post up a picture early next year of how the car sits on these springs. I'm currently taking the opportunity to...
I'm still looking at options. I found part numbers this evening on the existing ones. P4452983 and P4452983. With the air jackers off the car it sits 19" from the floor to the lowest part of the arch when measured through the wheel centre. I can bounce the rear of the car with 2 fingers. Summit...
Yes it is a WH23G6, thanks for the kind comments. Still has its certified but little other history. Private message me for any info you would like and I'll help where I can.
Hi I'm looking for specs of the rear leaf springs for having a pair made up in the UK. Shipping a delivery tines are a killer from USA at present. I may consider re-arching but most research I have done suggests they would sag again in the near future.

RESULT!
Well I've milled a couple of slots in both my old and new distributor reluctors and now have both so they fire as good as you can get over the terminal post throughout the whole timing range and the slight popping has now gone. I ended up looking at the old distributor to work it all out...
OK so I had a further look at this today.
I took a spare cap and drilled a good sized hole inboard of plug 1 terminal. When running at 600rpm with vac disconnected and plugged (ported vacuum so should not be any vacuum advance anyway) with 18 degree initial timing I took a note of the rotor. It...
I've been and done some reading and I can see your point about checking the rotor phase. Maybe be it was just poor
phase from the manufacture of the distributor, I may even have put the reluctor back on after modifying the mech adv unaware of which of the x2 positions was optimum. I'll take a...
Hi Don, Rick supplied the replacement distributor. It is electronic ignition. The distributor is described as having the a correct Mopar reluctor though I never noticed it could be multi phased when I had to remove it to adj the adv slots? Just x2 small roll pins holding it in place. Just to...
Update time:
Today I got it back up and running. I only have a few hours a week to mess with it so its taken a while. Its winter here so there was no rush.
Jobs done:
Timing chain replaced for a double roller.
New damper fitted.
New water pump.
New stat. Original was a 160 now has a 180.
Power...
Cheers for all the further recommendations. Good shout on the balancer as I recall the rubber isolator looking dry and cracked the last time I peered in.
I'm in the UK and will be ordering parts from USA so need to have everything at hand before I start the job or I'm then stood waiting on...
Thanks for the advice. It runs absolutely fine. I just have to set initial by ear and response. It's that bad even my dial back timing light won't pick up a reading. I'll fit cam chain as is and check the pump gear at the same time.

I have a 1966 Dodge Coronet that has a 383 4 barrel with a 727tf. I cannot set the base ignition timing as the timing mark jumps around way too much and is never steady. I had reason to take the oil pan off recently and sure enough I noticed the cam chain had loads of slop. So this winter's job...
I've worked out the wiring Thanks for the advice about the neutral safety switch. I'll try and get hold of one if mine isn't still fitted or broken.
Lee
Thanks for the reply. A previous owner has removed the neutral safety switch so the violet and violet white tracer were tied back. The reverse lights too are now gone in place a direction indicators so the back up switch doesn't need to be wired in.
So that leaves just the one violet white...
