I have an interesting problem with the headlights on the RR. When in the parking lights position, I get full headlight functions (ie: low beams and high beams when using the floor dimmer switch). When in the headlights position, same thing, full function. It's like there are two "headlights"...
I'm a relative newbie and Tom's always been great. As long as he is not in the middle of something he has take the time to explain issues to me and differences in parts. Even if I need something small and seemingly insignificant, it's never been a problem.
Crazy things happen when projects are at shows. My buddy had his Challenger about 75% done and brought it to a show. Someone came up to him and told him that he had a lot of E body trim. They put a deal together.
I cut a piece of fuel hose to go around the screw head (to prevent scratching) and gripped it with a pliers
Not high tech, but it worked.
Don't adjust too much. Put a jumper between the batt hot and the horn to keep checking it as I adjusted.
Definitely try adjusting it, but turn the screw only, maybe 1/16 to 1/8 of a turn at a time. Don't turn it while it's going off either.
I was going to replace mine because it sounded sick. Sounds perfect now.
Can the fuel sender be removed with tank in car?
I know this is an old thread, but the question I have is whether or not the fuel level sender can be removed from the tank with the tank still in the car.
Yes, I would get the fuel level as low as possible.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks to you guys. I feel very welcome. There are some very nice rides reflected in these pages. Some of the issue resolution write ups are very complete and truly spur someone like me to get going on some projects.
I hope everyone has a nice holiday.
I understand completely. I really enjoy these cars, but do not have the time, space, or complete expertise to build my own. I am pretty good at trouble shooting and fixing some items, just not starting from scratch.
I know what you are saying about not watching the show. You have to get...
I have found that you are right. Most of the cars are pretty together. This one was not in the catalog, so it was not done at the photo deadline.
It was not complete at the time of the auction. The alignment had not been set yet, the exhaust system was not tightened down, brakes were...
It's a lot of little stuff. Backup lights are inop, need to address some other small electrical. Speedo is inop. Need to pull the radio and get it working. Stuff like that.
Thanks for the positive thoughts though!
Thanks to all. You guys seem great and very helpful to one another.
The b body is so much different than the Challenger. Both get great looks.
I am looking forward to getting the bugs worked out of the RR. Nothing major. WIth your guys help I am sure it will all get worked out.
