Dang I guess I forgot to take down my account but I traded this car to a buddy of mine who's dad is really big into mopars because one day while driving it it just shut down on me and wouldn't move or crank so out of this trade I had gotten a 76 Valiant 225 /6 with 74,*** original miles and it...
So I am trying my local craigslist and nothing is working I am only 17 and this is my only car and I can't afford gas everyday to drive it and it needs to go to someone who will fix it up right cause I barley can afford anything for it. But the car is 318 2 barrel 904 auto original paint...
Well guys I think I have figured it out. I have found out my parents put 87 gas in it without me knowing and thats one of the main reasons its running like crap but I think the gas is getting to hot so I am going to wrap the header on the passenger side, put heat tape around all my gas lines...
Thanks for all the tips guys and the compliments but as of recently like since last week when the car warms up it just doesn't want to run like it isn't getting any fuel and when you take the gas cap off it does go woosh any ideas to help me out?
I am also in the upstate, and I have seen 2 a brown 73 and a yellow 71 rr clone. But I have an older pictures of the car when I first got it, and some of the engine and inside.
If people are wondering the paint on the car is all original and the top is to, the interior is mint for a 39 year old car and the engine bay is still nasty looking but it runs fine. All I have really done was pull the motor and replace all the gaskets on it and before I got the car 2 years ago...
So I havent been on here in awhile because of school and work and being a 17 year old kid with an old car is a challenge but I am back and to show some pictures of my finished Satellite sebring plus. Its is still a 2 barrel but I am wondering what I could do to upgrade power? Any ideas? Thanks...
This is my 1973 Satellite Sebring Plus. I have kept the car all original beside painting the grill and headlight covers. Yes it has a 318 2 barrel carter. Slow but lovely :D
It is at the correct 950 rpm when idling, and there are no vacuum leaks. But when its idling and you open the throttle its stumbles a bit and then rises in rpms. I was told that it most likely is a bad carb cause everything has checked out fine so I guess I just need a new one.
So we have went in and redone all the gaskets on my 318 la from a 73 satellite. Well it wasn't firing stock wise so we flipped everything around and it starts off the 1st cyl instead of the 6th. But there is a problem everytime you press the gas it stalls or when you put the car into gear it...
But guys to be honest im thinking about selling it right now cause I need a car to drive to school and work and this thing just doesnt want to be put back together and its really annoying me at the moment, 2 days before I need it running and I can't finish any of it the motor won't hook up with...
