Well the Plymouth is running fine now. Including pictures?!?!?!

Mine (318-2) ran on 87 but pinged under hard throttle.

Played with the timing (all the way back to stock book spec), but no help.

89 solved the problem, and I'm going to try a little more advance now.

I can't believe this car hasn't sold yet.
Now that it's running right, are you maybe gonna keep it?

A guy at the gas station was talking to me about mine, and said he was looking for something.
I told him about your car and gave him this website.

Yours is just a bit nicer than mine and a higher price class. "Better" colors, too.

I paid 4K and was happy about it.

Sweet car. Ive had mine since I was 16 my first car too. Had a stock 360 4 barrel, but primer grey lol. Course the bug hit and I dropped in a 440 and now its just going up and up and things im doing. Working on making it my drag car but still be able to run on the street barely lol. Leave it stock if anything just go 4 barrel and headers and a better exhaust system but that would be it.

Thats a great look car, I think you should do what you want, I have to agree with the price of gas its nice just to have a sweet ride and you sure have that.. You could always buy parts and everything you need, enjoy the car and take your time figuring out how much power you'll want, save up and drive away in fun while you gather all the power parts to make a power house you want, best of both worlds.. Good luck..

If you want to go faster, put the speed parts on as you can afford it. Keep in mind you still have to buy the gas lol. But keep all the original stuff you take off.

Ive heard it said, IF you use it right that a 4-barrel carb actually saves gas, I always thought it a myth but some swear to it, again as i was told IF you use it and not trying to impress someone, being such a heavy car i wonder if that would have something to do with it, a little more power to get them moving, don't have a clue but ill wager someones heard the same thing if true or not and why if its true! Just a 4-barrel set up and headers would give a good jump on some extra power without major money..

Nice SSP! I gotta chime in with the herd and say keep it stock. Don't mess with it and try to make it faster. Enjoy the cruise! My 318 2bbl runs so damn SMOOTH, puts a big smile on my face every time.

You want to go fast? Ride a motorcycle!
