    Fuel pump rod plug, question?

I'd clean the pipe plug on a wire wheel, and the threads in the block with a wire toothbrush. Then teflon tape it and fly it.

Show me your Classic Car/Truck Cell Phone Mount

If I had my way, those giant infotainment screens the manufacturers are so proud of would go black the instant the car moves. Wanna see something, or get directions? Park the f#@king car! Edit : the radio would be separate.

    Tires for 15 x 5.5 and 15 x 8 wheels on a 64 Wagon

I've got a pair of 235-75x15s for my 62, on seven inch rims, for the front. Thr ONLY way they work is because a previous owner at some point cut the leading edge of the fender back three or four inches!

    Tires for 15 x 5.5 and 15 x 8 wheels on a 64 Wagon

I can agree, sorta, with that. If my 15x8 ram wheels had 4 1/2 bs instead of 4", I could have got 275s on em fairly easily. As it is, the 255s work, but they are almost as tight on the fender as my 10.5 slicks.

    Tires for 15 x 5.5 and 15 x 8 wheels on a 64 Wagon

I do NOT mean to insult you, but are you sure of your bs measurements? The way you have the square laying, you're not measuring from the tire to the wheel face are you? (I'm positive you know what you're doing..... but I hadda ask) The one wheel you show looks identical to my 15x8 ramcharger...

    Meet Simon

So sorry for your loss, Kim. I know the feeling. I cried like a baby when I had to put my Mopar down. They just don't live long enough, but you did the right thing by him, and you had a good run together. Deal with the loss for a while, and then rescue another that needs a 14 year home.......

    Spartan locker clicking

I have a real Detroit locker in my 8 3/4 and clicking during turns is entirely normal. I believe it is for the lockers that fit in open diffs too. (I think there are things called "soft lockers" that are quieter, but I don't know if such a thing is available to retrofit an open diff.)

    Tires for 15 x 5.5 and 15 x 8 wheels on a 64 Wagon

I like that, nice combo. Especially the nice tall 215s, if you have clearance for the height. But with not QUITE enough backspace on the rear (same problem I had) a 255 is probably a better fit for matthon. My opinion only.

Bushing six pack rods for 1.094 pins

You are correct. The 69 Sixpack motors used LY rods. Not till 1970 did the Sixpack engines get Sixpack rods. And .100 longer rod is hardly the same except for bolts. And I'm pretty sure the Nascar engines used Carillo rods even way back then......

    Tires for 15 x 5.5 and 15 x 8 wheels on a 64 Wagon

Ive got a 235-70/15 on a six inch rim for my 62, but tire size.com says to stick to a 225 for a 5.5 rim. Adjust aspect ratio to get the height you want. (Running a 235 on a 5.5 wouldn't bother me a bit) I'm also using a 255-70/15 on the rear on a ramcharger 15x8 steelie. I wanted a 275-70 but...

I got myself a Christmas present today.

I like it, but the whitewalls and wheel covers have got to go (save em in a corner of the garage) Just my opinion.

Bushing six pack rods for 1.094 pins

I haven't read this whole thread, but..... If lightness is a concern (and it should be) I would never build another bbm without using a .990 bbc pin From what I have read, the Sixpack rods are 60-70 grams heavier than an LY rod, and considered heavy. The chevy pins are 75 grams less than a 440...

    727 converter questions

Best converter I had in my A12 (its stock, except for rmvb) was a stock 73 340 converter. Stalls a very nice 25-2600 behind a stock 440. O.p., is your garbage converter a GER? (And get rid of the bullets. I like Flowmaster sound, but only the three chamber ones, or any Quality turbo or hemi...
