I sanded the pulleys and tightened it up again and also sprayed some belt dressing on it and it seemed to pretty much take care of the problem, but i will see if it lasts.

got the part in and everything works like it should. Another question though, if a fender mount signal bulb is burnt out, will that keep the blinker from flashing?
I have a burnt out bulb on the fender mounted turn signal, but for the life of me can find a replacement one. It is threaded on the end where the single wire threads onto the bulb. Anyone know where to buy this?

I replaced the v belt on my 72 Satellite with a good gates belt because it was squealing. I tighten as much as possible but it is still squealing. It is the belt that goes from the crank to the fan to the power steering pulleys. Has anyone else had this problem? Not sure how to keep it tight...
Yea i took it apart last nite and after messing with the switch the lights would work. I ordered a new switch for it so it should be all good. Also took the alternator off to get tested and that was bad so i replaced that too.
Fixing up my 72 satellite and trying to figure out why the brake lights won't work. I have taillights, and the right turn signal blinks but the left just stays on. Feels like something wrong in the signal switch. All the other lights work also. Just no brake lights or hazzard. Any ideas? thanks
