Curious how tall your garage ceiling is? I'm thinking about getting a 4 post for my garage and wondering what the minimum height requirement is to fit two cars.
I had to get a second passenger side header, as the first hung way to low (almost 2"). Assume it was for an RB motor and I have a B block, but the P/N said it was correct. Even the replacement didn't fix everything, but I figured I wasn't going to get any better result sending back for a 3rd...
I'll be interested in what you come up with. I'm going to start planning the trunk and also look at getting some custom door panels, middle console and package tray to tie everything together. Love the sound of the engine, but also want to be able to enjoy some music especially on longer drives.
TTI sent a new header......It fit "better" and definitely didn't hang as low as the first one, but still a little lower and required some upward bending to get things to line up closer. It was a raw header, so since it required some bending to fit, we kept it and had both ceramic coated...
Pnora, yes I have adjustable strut rods which I am assuming are Qa1. I had the entire front end rebuilt using the Bergman Autocraft complete front suspension upgrade BAC MOPAR A,B and E STREET FRONT SUSPENSION KIT - Bergman Auto Craft. We also upgraded to the Borgeson steering box. Just for...
I'm using the newer style SPC forged upper control arms on my 68 charger. Took it in for alignment and got these results. I asked for -0.75 Camber, +6* Castor and +0.03/+0.03 toe-in. Unfortunately the "tech" said in order to get the 6* castor he had to adjust the front strut rods??? But the...
What did you use for mounting? I'm looking into doing the same as either my radiator cap isn't functioning properly or is only rated to about 195-199 degrees, as it will open up and let coolant escape at that temp.
Thanks Fran! I might have to order some of these and try them out. Otherwise I may consider having portions welded together and leave just enough joints to remove parts of the exhaust if/when necessary.
Do you have a link for the style clamps your talking about? I've got numerous little leaks and I don't want to crush or deform the pipes. With all these issues with the TTi headers and even the exhaust clamps, I'm not sure why I payed the premium for their parts......
Supposedly the p/n on the flange was verified to be correct, but since that is the only place a p/n can be found it still does not rule out the fact that the wrong down tubes could have been used. I'm waiting for a call back this morning, since the tech doesn't work on Friday's so I'm sitting...
Problem is I would still lose some ground clearance and it would possibly mean the angle of the header would be pointed upwards.
On my other post someone suggested I might have received an "RB" block right side, instead of for my low block "B" motor. That might make some sense, so if we can...
I hadn't thought of that! That should be able to be verified if they will give us the actual dimensions that they are supposed to be for a B motor. I'll have to see if we can find out. thanks!
Brand new motor mounts and verified that motor is sitting level..... Thanks for your input, as right now I'm trying to make sure we look at everything.
So I posted these pictures in another thread, but we're in the middle of trying to get the car buttoned up so i can get it on the road to enjoy before the weather starts to turn. I figured I should start my own thread and see if I could get more direct input or suggestions.
I ordered some 1...
I'm having some fitment issues as well and even after a call to TTI along with getting my builder involved, I'm still waiting to either get some dimensions of the headers as they are supposed to be so we can compare or word on whether or not they will send another right side header. Basically...
Anyone have direct comparison on how upgraded stock suspension rides and handles compared to the RMS coilover setup? Debating over my options as I need to upgrade the whole front suspension as well as the steering, so cost wise I think it will be pretty close. I decided to have a 400/470...
