    Stock Market up 426 TODAY

I am no expert by any means, actually more the opposite. BUT, the key for me has been a diverse portfolio, and most importantly, constant investment over time. This is what allowed me to retire early. I have tried "day trading" with small amounts of money to see how it went. Yeah... well... no...

    The Roach

Superb! Looks like things are moving along at a very good pace. Any updates on when you think the car will be done? Will we see at Carlisle in 2025? :poke:

    An under valued Mopar????

I saw a guy at Carlisle last year with a 1978 (?) Volare Road Runner. He had swapped a Hellcat engine into it, and had done a super clean, nice job with it. I'm sure it surprises a lot of cars as it leaves them in the dust! Point is, with an engine swap, I wonder if these will start...

    metric bolts???

I am OK with my old cars that use SAE hardware. I can deal with a car that uses all metric hardware. When it is mixed (like in a number of 90's era USA made vehicles) , it is a total PITA! Constant guessing between the two. What bugs me is that now a number of reproduction or replacement...

Poll: Did your disc brake conversion utilizing factory drum spindles turn out the way you wanted?

Ed, I did not respond to the poll. I upgraded my 70 Road Runner using a Right Stuff kit that essentially made the front like 73/74 disc brakes. It has worked very well for me and I am very happy with my brakes. I cannot speak to other conversions.

My 68 Charger likes the Bilstein's!

I have Bilesteins on my 70 Road Runner. Mind you, I upgraded the stock suspension in a few small ways (Firm Feel and limited polyurethane), but the car handles great and is a joy to drive!

Anyone available to check out a car in Prescott Valley, Arizona?

These are neat cars - they have engines in the front like typical muscle cars, not in the back like 911s and many other Porches. I have never driven one but a buddy of mine said they are a great car to drive. Good Luck!

Pic and dimensions needed, '70 rr floor pan.

My 70 RR has original floors - they were surprisingly in good shape and did not need replacement. It is hard to get a good picture with the car on the lift. I can confirm what @dadsbee said that it is a double hoop. Note that mine is not used now because I have a Passon A-855 overdrive and the...

I remember pretending to be princesses at a tea party with my daughter when she was young! I'm laughing here imagining you with a dress on  Soak it all in, my friend. This is the good stuff in life!

Flat tappet lifters, wear patterns, cam lobe taper and other things. Let's swap opinions and ideas.

Yes. They measured (obviously used) at 140# seated and 325# open. Since spring always lose a bit in the first few hundred miles, I'm guessing they would have been north of 150# seated when brand new.

Who has used a 440 crank in a 383 block?

Breaking pistons is common, but bending rods? It sounds like you are holding the rod, and you shouldn't touch the rod. Lay the piston in press with the pin pointing up. The bottom of the piston must be supported (ideally with a half round cradle that has a hole in it to allow the pin to come...

Great point, and of course I know that. :poke: Ahem: But of course I need my brain to think of these things for it to be any value!!!

Hi I’m new here with my 70 roadrunner.

Welcome from PA! Great car (I'm partial to 70 Road Runners since I have one)! I'll second to leave the car at least looking much like it is, and then modifying engine/transmission, etc. for a more streetable combo. Regardless of the direction you go, there are folks here that can help with any...
