    Found my noise! Forgot to update from my last post. It broke the flex plate and did some damage to the trans. Nothing major, I freshened the trans, sent the convertor out, and stuck a new flex plate on it. Noise fixed.. lol

    Quick update, first outting in the car in 10 years. Well it turned out to be a good weekend. Got to make 3 time trial hits Thursday. Car started off in the 9.90’s, so I started leaning the carbs. By Saturday it was in the 9.80’s in the heat and humidity pretty sure it would have went 9.70’s...

    I ran the MP intake on the first incarnation of this engine. The distribution seemed better on that one. I’ve been told by a racer who ran both intakes on a high hp 572 that the Barton made around 40hp more on his combo. The plenums are certainly smaller and the carbs sit in different spots...

    I may have 5 fixed too, gonna need some more drive time. Good reminder and A/F gauge is a tool and not an absolute. Gotta read those plugs!
