I never thought about doing that but now I’ll have to add that to my OCD list, thanks to you:-)

Bronze wool for the chrome. Compound and black wax to fill in the rust around the rim and they look pretty darn acceptable. Will be taking the wheels in to get the new tires installed this week. I’m sure my OCD will kick in and make me clock the tires to the wheels;-) Thanks Pat

Time for the RR to go on the lift, so I made the Fury a roller and put the body on. I will put it in the other shop for a few months. Thanks Pat

I ordered a few yards of the center grainy vinyl from Legendary. And had a local auto interior shop replace just the seat panels and they turned out great! Next week he’s going to do the seatbacks. I saved the original cracked up vinyl pieces so I can lay them on top at the survivor car show;-)...

I will try the scrubbing bubbles next time if there’s a color change. The good news is this top is not sun faded. It was just 35+ years of dirt. I went over it twice with simple green and then again with Murphy’s oil soap. Both with the power brush. Thanks Pat

Very cool and rare GTX! I see that you are also working on a 62 Cadillac. I have been on the lookout for a Cadillac for many years and two years ago. I came across a 27,000 mile one Owner 60 coupe Deville. Except for one re-spray in the 80s. It is a unrestored time capsule. Good luck with your...

Finding them is hard enough, acquiring them can be the most difficult part. It’s hard for owners/family to sell the memories. Thanks Pat

I feel the same about Survivor cars. They are definitely the rarest and I love the stories that come with original unrestored cars. Thank you! Pat

Yes agree, I would tape around them so not get the mat clear over spray on the green paint. I still need to test the mat clear on the paper. Thanks Pat

That would definitely be the way to go with a full restoration, but I’m trying not to take anything off this car and keep it as original as possible so preserving the existing sticker is what I’m trying to come up with. Thanks for the suggestion! Pat

They are very delicate, you can see where part of it has already ripped where I tried to remove it. I need to find a donor sticker to do some testing. I’m thinking that I could tape it off and spray it with a mat clear to help preserve and strengthen the paper?? Thanks for the suggestion! Pat
