Glad you making progress, on the rear sway bar, the only part I was never able to source was the half pound bushing that goes to the sway bar to body mount. I tried modifying some and just had to put the originals back in until I find a solution. Also make sure and center the bar and put the...
I included before and after pics of my 340 AT AC car. I know the dimple on the far left on mine means there would be a hole drilled depending on the option that needed it. If your is drill out it must of had something I did not. My ground strap went from the back of the passenger side head to...
Hey Bluesky10,
I have used the rebuilt kit and had a couple issues. I think it is for the standard springs, the u shape straps were too small to wrap the spring pack so had to source larger ones. I was also short on the thin metal squeak suppression separators because again I think the kit is...
Hey John, Jim from Parker here. I have the pattern and maybe even the material I used. I know we keep talking about getting together. If you want I will go find them and the rest of the parts I told you about and maybe you can come out an take a look.
That looks like the same material that was in my 73 RR, its called Yorkshire Cloth. The only place I could find it was SMS Auto Fabrics I think they are our of Oregon. Lots of bad reviews for being slow and mine took forever to get, 6 months I think, but I was in the middle of the build so I...
I have the Yorkshire cloth headliner and the only place I could find it was SMS. It took a long time to get it but when it did arrive it was perfect and had plenty of extra. Harder to install than vinyl since you cannot get the wrinkles out with a heat gun. Did not have a pic of the, final...
Hey John, First I apologize I have not been in better contact with you. We are so close in proximity, I really need to try and come out and visit with you. I have a box of parts that need a home.
As far as your question, my original valve covers are long gone, unfortunately, but as I searched...
Hey John, Unfortunately I cannot help either. I see the holes where the channel seems to mount but my car either never had one since I bought it or at some point beyond my recollection, I removed it and threw it away. I have not spent a lot of time looking for a replacement but when I did I...
Hey Hawk, Very nice work on the adaptor. The brainpower from the rest of the members is way beyond my level, so cannot add anything to troubleshoot wish I could. Just wanted to say good luck and keep me posted on your trip. Still want to hook up for that beer if we can.
Very Nice Mr. Builderguy awesome work as usual!!! I am still struggling with a few of those punch list items unfortunately just have not been able to carve out some time to work on her. Trying to finish a construction project in the basement. I will get back at it soon I hope.
Thanks blue69runner. I am using the rubber repro from Classic or one of the other resto part places. Its the flexible line from the factory solid pre-bent line from the combination valve. It is a very small drip. But want resolve. I will try more torque and see what happens.
On the tranny...
Well it has been awhile but finally got some time to work on the car the last few weeks.
Trans is working now. More rookie mistakes on my part. It took 4 times of driving and checking to get the fluid level to stop dropping. Not sure if something inside that was stuck but it seems to have...
Awesome trip HawkRod. I have yet to get my car to that level of roadworthyness. Still fighting with the brakes. Cannot wait to do a trip like that. Winter is approaching fast here in Colorado so may have to weight for spring. Good luck on tracking down the vibration
Builderguy, Sorry to hear about the tranny. Glad it did not cause an accident. My optimistic self says it could have been a lot worse. But still not good. Hope the shop stands behind their work.
Nice metalwork. Definately not in my wheelhouse to try. I had trouble just straightening and...
