Air compressor died! Any recommendations for a good 60-80 gallon upright around $1000?

A screw compressor is NOT for the car restorer or hobbyist! The motor runs all of the time and the compressor loads and un-loads constantly. Too much money, and synthetic oil and filters will drive you to the poor house.

    Remember Bosco Chocolate?

My Dad worked for Corn Products Company in Argo/Summit Illinois. They used to make it there along with Skippy Peanut butter, Argo Corn Starch, Karo Corn Syrup and Mazola Corn oil.

Happy Thanksgiving and what are you thankful for!?

Yes, I agree, but the natives really didn't want to help our ancestors, our ancestors took it away from them with repeating arms. And thank God we were able to out-gun the British!

Air compressor died! Any recommendations for a good 60-80 gallon upright around $1000?

So, a single stage will put more cubic feet of air out per minute, but they are not good for 175psi. If you use an HVLP gun or die grinder, that's all you need If you get a two stage and crank it up to 175 you will have that extra air in storage but a "Drag Race" between a two stage and single...

Air compressor died! Any recommendations for a good 60-80 gallon upright around $1000?

You need an honest-to-goodness 5HP compressor with an 80gal. tank. 220v., and the motor should run @ around 1725RPM. I'd try some farm auctions. My neighbor picked up a Speedaire (Grainger) 7.5HP almost new compressor at an auction for $800.00. Right place, right time. Most air tools you'll...

I have a Hot Dawg heater in my garage and I wire two cotton balls to the louvers and give them a good dose of peppermint oil a couple of times a week during the winter. No Mice.

WTF is this: B&M clutch flite

I bought a B&M Clutch-Flite in 1975 for $2600.00 along with an E&R clutch, pressure plate and flywheel. I was building a "Race Car". Glad I never got to use it! I sold the entire setup, brand new to a fellow member here about three years ago. Don Prudhomme ran one in a couple of his funny cars...

So....I took Fred to get new tires put on today - Ed story time!

Sorry for your pain! I had Cobras put on my new 500's last year and had a hell of a time trying to find a shop that had one of those "finger thingamajigs" to balance them correctly. I'm about 35 miles west of Chicago, and I was able to find ONE Discount Tire store that still had one. Everyone...
