That's just what I was talking about. So to use that 67 904 converter on a 318 the converter needs changed to a newer one.

All 904 converters use the same hub. What is different on the pre 1968 converter is the diameter of the pilot (goes into the crankshaft), it measures 1.550 inches. From 68 on the pilot was 1.810 inches.
