Thanks and Sorry for the late reply. I did buy a seperate wiring kit for the gauges. I believe it was associated with and/or recommended as an option for these gauges. I'll go back through my order history on Classic Industries to get a better recollection. BTW, I do appreciate that company and...
I'm fairly ill equipped to give you a solid answer on this for a few reasons. First, I didn't do my doors. Secondly, I'd have to go back and see how many square feet of the hushmat I purchased, and how much Soundshield I purchased, and actually used. I do recall that the Hushmat I originally...
Hello,
I installed that exact bezel in my 72 satellite. I went with the "Carbon Fiber" gauge set. The only complaint I have is the fitment for the HVAC unit. I actually tried to modify the opening for the HVAC unit, it didn't go well I was really pissed and contacted them about it (I have a...
I started with Hushmat Butyl/Foil but ran out 75% into the job. I didn't care for the Butyl/Foil as it was messy to work with...as you crawled around it would pierce the foil and get sticky butyl on unwanted surfaces...I switched over to "Sound Shield" which is an Asphalt based product. I much...
I'm definitely with you on that one, I much prefer the traditional grill on the 72 Satellite. Don't care for the honeycomb, and definitely don't like the center piece, as it looks like a Cuda grill. I do prefer the traditional grill to be black instead of the silver as well. Just my 2 cents, to...
Drawer label inserts, and end caps arrived. Was able to remove the lock cylinder and decipher the key#. Ordered a used key from ebay.
Now I can stop procrastinating on the work that needs to be done on the Satellite. First up will be installing the new, larger T-bars. Then change over to...
Interesting, I've also got 20's in the rear and 18's up front. Do you have RMS front and rear, or just front? I have a rebuilt K-frame/T-bar up front, but a 4-link in the rear. I've got Doug's headers with no ground clearance issues. Only clearance issue I have is the darn 7qt Moroso Oil pan...
Remind me again what size wheels are you running front and back? It looks slightly disproportionately higher in the front? BTW, absolutely love your ride!
Rob
Stanley label (upper left corner) delaminated when I removed masking tape. That's all getting covered with a cool Plymouth piece the P.O. had made as a bezel in place of the Strato-Vent on the 72 Satellite.
Wet sanding and Polishing finished. Drawer pulls installed. Waiting on paper/label inserts, and clear covers for the drawer pulls.
This was really an exercise in educating myself about paint correction, so I'd have the courage to tackle those issues on my car. Bought a decent random orbital...
Awesome! Don't tell me that's the same Jacket!?!? LOL. Seriously though, love the B1 units, you certainly don't see many in that color. My 72 Satellite started life as a B1 with white vinyl top.
Could use another coat, but that will have to do. Man I could use a paint booth, what a pain cleaning and vacuuming up afterwards. You wouldn't think a few spraybombs could make that much of a mess! Oh well, I'll send more pics as I progress. Also, I ordered new plastic drawer pull ends, and...
