Keep original hard brake lines out replace?

DOT 4 brake fluid loves moisture. Pour some on the ground and wash it away with the water hose. I don't use it anymore. Yes, just replace all of it. One of the first things I did with my cars, brake and fuel system replacement.

    Pulled motor today, and finds

I too have AFR's. Sometimes I just think that they are lying. I tried all of the 'How to tune a Sixpack'. My carbs have all new needles and seats, filters at the inlets, new Carter fuel pump, Promax base plates, and metering plates, blah, blah, blah. Something was always causing my plugs to...

    Pulled motor today, and finds

My fuel pressure didn't seem that high, 7.5. Lowered it to 5, had to raise the bowl levels back up to the bottom of the hole. Removed the Promax jet plates on the end carbs and put the metering plates back in for the time being, 4.5 power valve. Most of my issues have gone away. It will be...

    Pulled motor today, and finds

Your plugs look like mine did on my 6-pack, before I got control of my fuel pressure. I am a believer in retorquing the cyl heads, I know that there are nay sayers to that position. A little late for that. Look closely for your leak, oil can travel.

    Jet sizes for six pack

Oh I did experiment! I too have all of the Promax parts, except the center carb. For me, lowering the fuel pressure changed everything. Fuel bowl levels, power valve and jetting. I had gotten very discouraged after reading all of the info on how to tune a 6-pack. All of the do this...

    1968 GTX barn find...

Tears me up seeing this at times. A friend of a friend of mine has a stock 318 '69 Satellite, been sitting out side of his garage for 14 years or so. Un molested car. Would have been a nice driver when it was parked, and the clock just keeps on ticking.

    Flowkooler or Edelbrock water pump?

On my small block stroker Dart, I had a Real Gasket silicone gasket at the thermostat housing, never had a problem with it, until I installed the Flowkooler pump. It blew the gasket out two times in a row. Then went to an o-ringed thermostat housing, problem solved. Just saying that I...

Less BS about changing tire alignment specs from stock (a.k.a. let's rant about Mopar suspension some more)

Don't care, I knew that you would jump me, was waiting for it. You always do. My cars drive great on the street without all of the drama.

Did not realize that they used a cotter key for holding. Mine have a push on washer nut/clip. No hole for a cotter key.

    Flowkooler or Edelbrock water pump?

I do not have the Flowkooler water pump on my Hemi, maybe in the future. I haven't driven it yet. Have one on my small block, it's a good pump. Do not know if the impeller is the same for a big block.

Boy, I sure am glad I ditched my stock suspension for tubular rack and pinion coil over. Jeeze Louise.

72 Roadrunner with 340 oil pressure issues

He's giving us oil pressure numbers, does the stock gauge do that? I have used an oil pump gasket on a small block, or not, no change in oil pressure, for me.

    Brake Lines: Distribution Block-Master Cylinder-1971 426 Hemi

Sell the power stuff and go back to manual. I know, you don't want to hear that! None of my 3 cars have power brakes, I surely do not have trouble stopping them, and one is a Hemi.

72 Roadrunner with 340 oil pressure issues

I have the same oil pressure as yours with a HV pump. I have been using 10-40 Lucas classic hot rod oil. Been this way for going on 4 years, 418 stroker. Your engine should be fine, drive it, you will be disappointed if you do all that work and nothing changes. Don't ask me why.

    69 GTX Alternator

'69 should have what we call a round backside. Verses a flat back or square back. The round has 2 wires and the square has 3 wires.
