Best bang for buck 4 wheel disc brake kit

...The 3rd pump will actually skid quite a few rocks. I know sounds like air in the system. I have a 15/16 bore master, adjustable proportion valve for rear and distribution block. Just checked a few minutes ago. Calipers seem aligned. The hoses on the rear have A LOT of movement. Both hoses on...

Has anybody used this proportioning valve?

that unit is sold by inline tube and if it’s anything like the rear proportion valve they sell i don’t think you will he happy with it. Take the advice from @Stanton and just purchase an adjustable valve and install in the rear line between master and rear cylinders.

Is a Disc Brake Conversion Worth It?

...( 15/16' bore manual ) and of course made up the new brake lines I keep the 10" drums in the rear! I did use Wilwood adjustable proportion valve. The spindles have the same dimensions (angles at the ball joints, height, etc.) so all the front end parts like each other and work a normal. The...

Rear brakes getting hot, front cold.

...cup and in the axel tube. Adjusted the endplay as the FSM advised. It is a little cooler but not much. I then put an adjustable proportion valve in the rear brake line. Now I an getting a little heat at the front brakes. That passenger rear is still hot. I am thinking that the bearing is cooked.

1969 Roadrunner 4-wheel disc brake conversion - weak brakes

Disc/Drum are what has the residual valve. Designed to keep pressure on one section of the brakes. If this is removed and the distribution block has the shuttle valve removed then you are able to use an adjustable manual proportion valve. The stock distribution valve is not designed for 4 wheel...

1969 Roadrunner 4-wheel disc brake conversion - weak brakes

Okay so my master would have originally had a residual pressure valve in the front port (rears) that should have been or needs to be removed. I would tend to think it was removed because if it was still there wouldn't it be causing the rear disc brakes to drag/overheat? I think the aftermarket...

    1968 Charger, Ray Barton 528 Hemi, Pro-touring.

Started to fiddle around with brake lines. Inherited parts from a stainless kit that I'll try and get use of. The passenger and driver side line fit pretty well. But the threads into the proportion valve wasn't correct. The valves female threads were 7/16" and the lines were 3/8"? Well, anyhow...

    New brake install

...here, I’ll try it. After that, if I still don’t have a pedal then the new combo valve from Dr. Diff, which is a disc/drum set up, will go in. If that doesn’t work, well, I’m out of options unless I plumb all new lines with a Wilwood adjustable proportion valve. I know that will fix these...

    Brake Line & Valve Question

What I've learned is that you should use a proportioning valve if you're going with a disc/drum combo, with power or manual, to limit the pressure to the rear drums, so you don't lock 'em up and spinny-spinny.....I'm still using my factory manual drum valve (it's really just a distribution block...

...and keep the rear brakes from locking up early. In short, if you're doing this conversion, you might plan to plumb an adjustable proportion valve in line to rear brakes. You can always open it up, but most likely you'll need it to adjust bias. Here's a good start for reading...

    Waking up the beast

...I've done this on my Duster, Valiant and now the Belvedere: Kept the stock brake distribution block, never used an adjustable proportion valve. Wilwood disc fronts and factory drum rear. Never had an issue stopping. No grabbing or fading. Drove these on the street and on the strip. Belvedere...
