I bought a new Charger SE in 1976. It had the 360 engine. It was a great car! I had almost zero trouble with it that I can remember. I gave it to my kid in 1983. He used it up pretty quickly but he does that with everything he gets.
If no one gets you fixed up, I have a scrap 68 Charger harness I could chop one off for you. PM me if interested. Here are a couple pics. The top slot in pic one is empty and unused.
#1 for me would be the Bullitt Charger. Mine is somewhat of a clone to it.
#2 would be the Nash Bridges Hemi Cuda
#3 Probably Christine. Didn't like her personna much but I liked her lines and how she kept coming back.
The original Vanishing Point Hemi Challenger is pretty high up too.
Clutch chatter does no favors at all. I kinda suspect an oil leak dropping some oil on the clutch plate. I remember when I was a kid, I had a 57 Ford convert that I swapped in a 3 speed manual. It would start chattering every month or so. I would drive it up against a tree, put it in 3rd gear...
Yeah, I don't know much about the CCP unit other than I put one of them on my Niece's 70 Challenger when I built it for her. I didn't like the feel of it on her car so replaced it with a Bendix style dual 8" like I have on my Charger. Now that I think about it, I can't remember if it was 8" or...
It could be true only if...........The 4 blade fan spins at a much higher RPM than a 7 blade fan does.
I found out RPMs mean a lot when I installed a serpentine pulley system on my 440 Six Pack Challenger many years ago. It never had a cooling problem with the factory set up with a 22" radiator...
I didn't expect my Charger to handle like a Viper so probably not much help for you in that category but I am very happy with the way my car performs. I have the Borgi steering gear and I believe that will fix your #1 complaint.
I have the stock front sway bar and the Firm Feel 3/4" rear bar. I...
My 05 300C has just over 90K miles on the clock. I run the 5W-20 Mobil One the factory recommends and change it every 5000 miles. Never heard a tick from it but I never idle it for more than a few minutes. Other than brake pads and rotors & and the Nag1 valve body replacement that I replaced...
As I said, I didn't buy into the hype. I was probably snoring by 10 PM. My wife probably stayed up to watch the ball drop at Times Square but that didn't interest me much either. After you get to a certain stage in life, the new year is just that......Another year.
I remember it well also but never bought into all the hype. I worked for the Power company constructing electrical Sub Stations. My next door neighbor was worried and bought a 15K Watt generator and started storing food and supplies. He asked me one day if I was ready for Y2K? I replied "yup"...
It appears none of the parts you showed are correct for your car. No idea where that flex fan came from Probably aftermarket. Also with that 318 radiator you have the lower inlet is on the passenger side. Your Bee would have had it on the driver side. That said, you must have a 73-up water pump...
