Does the engine pull a good amount of vacuum? What size drums do you now have? My 65 Coronet has 4 wheel 10" nonpower drums and a 67 dual MC. I can lock up the wheels if need be.

If your 4 wheel drums work ok for your driving leave them. I would look at a dual master and booster set up. Dual is way safer than the old single system. There are companies that offer complete systems.
I froze a 440 like that in my race car about -35.. the waterpump expanded so much it rubbed the balancer. Popped 1 blockheater. Ripped the impeller of the shaft. Still good!

Imo, it kinda depends how fresh or tired it is.
Fresh? 10-30 or 10-40.
Tired? 20-50
Pick an oil with added zinc, if you have a fresh flat tappet cam
Tired, well broke-in old cam might not need the zinc.
