There is at least three different manufacturers of the bezels and lenses. Most vendors will either offer the Trim Parts piece or the PG Classic piece. The Trim Parts pieces were being cast in the US and then plated in Mexico. Not exactly sure of the manufacturing process now as the Trim Parts...
Here it is, the mirror base still in rough stages but coming together slowly but surely. Trying to find someone local that can CNC carve a small ridge on the sides to reflect the original. So far it weighs in at 1.85 ounces. The original was 7.60 ounces.
Mine are just failing, 4 foot regular fluorescent. I have to be sure the bulbs can handle chilly weather. Will an LED bulb fit and what do I look for on Amazon. I am off for about ten days, and will need light when I get back.
Harris County uses that brine mess too but it's usually only on the freeways.
