I did the KB quench dome pistons on stock iron headed 360 LA. Engine runs great, but as most said, alot of work for a small amount of quench. I set the quench distance to zero without the head gasket, and used a 0.039" thick gasket.

I remember when I was 17. Me and my buddy were wanting to build a 340. I looked up pistons in the direct connection catalog, the price was around $40 (IIRC.) I couldn’t figure out if that was per piece or for a set of 8. I mean, who could possibly afford to spend $320 on just pistons?

Have the 255x60x15" on the Coronet on 15x7 rims and sometimes the tire will contact the wheel opening molding in cornering. I think the rim offset is centered, so maybe it could use more backspace?

Back when I was racing we used -16 braided upper radiator hoses on our cars. But I disliked the red and blue anodized finishes on the hose ends. The guy I bought my parts from told me to remove it with laquer thinner... voila it worked. Maybe todays anodizing is different I dunno but it worked...

It looks like the flywheel is the problem I would not use that one. A replacement 143 tooth 11 inch flywheel should be the fix.
