Mechanical is far more reliable for sure. But if I decide to go to injection I have the pump to handle it. Figured better to have the pressure and not need it than to need it and not have it.

So true. Lower tire pressure will be needed for a full contact patch with a 295 and 8” wheel. I have to run 18psi with 10” wheels to get a maximum footprint. Ideally it should be lower but the drag radials seem to hook pretty good at 18psi. It also diminishes some of the harshness in the ride...
