...up to get the engine bay sandblasted and painted next weekend.
My biggest hurdle was how to move the car. I didn’t want to buy expensive dollies for the front end, and let them get ruined with sandblasting and paint, so I decided to try and make some. I picked up some box tubing, angle iron...
Thank you all for the replies. I talked with the media blaster today and was told that they have their own dollies so it didn't matter how I brought it.
MoparLeo, I did check into mobile blasters, but none guarantee against warping panels, while the place I am taking it to does, which is a...
...A local auto glass company is who I'm getting to do it. Bill for pilkington glass and install is $417. I have a new gasket ready and I took it off the dollies and lowered it down to make it easier for them. I'm putting the trim back on myself, not that I don't trust the installers but I don't.

...was in the way of the vacuum canister. I'd asked for suggestions but don't know if anyone has ever done one.
It's going to be tight.
One thing I pick up a few weeks ago were some wheel dollies. Makes it nice to move the car around the garage.
More updates to follow - it's getting...
Looks pretty gnarled. Not sure what tools you have access to but hammer and dollies will get you started but you may need a stud gun if it's over the fender brace.
Cut and replace maybe the only option if it's stretched out.
Think I understand what you're saying......but sounds like a pita lol
Don't have any dollies but wouldn't hurt to get some. And just took a look at where the valve stem is and it's at 9 o'clock if you're looking at the right side rear wheel and there's room enough to get to it with an air hose...

does anyone know of a good book or site where i can learn the skills the correct way?
Was there a factory rear bar 68-70?
Get some harbor freight mover's dollies for $8 each with the coupon.
3 should work- one for the center chunk area, and one for each brake drum area.
Stack some 4x4 sections to get the right height.
I always find uses for those things and at $8 the price...
