My guess is that’s blank (lower flange area) on your engine because the assembly date is on the top pad. Interesting though that your engine has what appears to be a VIN by the oil sender ports on top. That would tend to date it to sometime in mid-68 or later I guess. I have not found a VIN...

Dynomax Super Turbo are the ones I like. They were designed with assistance from David Vizard although they have changed them just enough from the original that they no longer have to pay him a royalty. They still flow (and sound, IMO) better than anything else out there!
