I would suspect it's in the full harness and not a separate run, but I've been wrong a couple times before! LOL
The only cranks that are Nitrided are Hemi cranks. All the rest are soft. Not an issue.
The most important thing is the journals being round, on size, and no high spots.
I would grind all of the journals and have the oil holes chamfered.
To avoid inspection I’ll run an Antique tag but PA does have “66 HP2” plate available. Would be pretty cool.
Guess I should focus on getting it road worthy first …
I ask more to check the accuracy of Mecum’s posted description. Given the clarification here it’s correct. For it would be worth anyway I would take exception if the current block was not factually correct an HP2. I understand now.
