That would be correct.My original '66 Imperial had the B440 stamp on that pad location.
B is 1966
C is 1967
And so on.
The BH just signifies Hemi. As opposed to B426.

OK - misunderstood the photo with a VIN.My engine does not have a vin on either location.
simply the date on the raised pad below the coil. Which is where all 1966 and I think 67 engines as well
66 application will be BH ( same as mine )
67 allplication will be CH
Those pics of vins I posted are of engine Ive grabbed off the net.
I may be misunderstanding this photo too. Is this on the bottom of your engine? If so, then I would guess the casting date must be a 3 for March for a May assembly.
