i did charge the batt and the charge held at 12.4. Started the car and at 2k rpm batt was at 12. let the car sit then restarted it again, At 2k rpm the batt charge dropped to 11.9. So bottom line...a steady decline.
I appreciate your reply. I will try the alternator posts just for craps...
I think my alternator is bad but dont want to buy a new one till i'm sure i have tried everything. My volt gauge shows discharge at 10 volts. Put a meter on the Batt and its good at 12.2

Anyone experience this?
I was out today and noticed my tach was spiking up and down intermittently. Then was normal again. When it happened i was driving steady at 40mph and approx. 1500 rpm. The engine was steady and normal. All connections are tight

I'm getting bored and need advise. Thinking about swaping out the 906 heads i have in a 69 roadrunner (440 auto) with new ones. Nothing wrong with the old ones. Just looking for a bit more power.
Is it worth doing or one of those "aint broke dont fix it " items? If worth doing, can you...
I also had the same issue but mine was a problem black wire to the ignition. All my lights had a heartbeat. Ended up installing a relay and re wired the charging system to bypass the ignition switch. Just another thought in case the suggestions above don't solve your issue. Let us know what...

I ordered a 31 nozzel. My fat fingers or scatter brain typed 35.
I amnnot runnung a vacuum...
i replaced the accelerator cam. According to Holley White cam is the best for early fuel delivery. Still have the stubborn stumble. I checked the pump arm and its not to loose or tight (.015) at full open throttle. I ordered a larger disbursement nozzle (35 tubular) to replace the stock 25...
I have a 'stumble " when i accelerate. If i punch the pedal she moves without a stumble. But on a gentle take off from a light it sounds like i sputter. I have a 3 yr old holley 4160 dual feed 750 cfm (vacuum secondaries). I just cleaned and regasketed the intake manifiold. No vacuum leaks...
So I swapped out the msd dist with a stock just to see if the dist is the issue. Before I do, is it a must to go tdc on # 1 plug? Or will I mess up the timing?
Here are some pics i took today. I noticed a small hole in the top of the cap that had a black plug. Do you know if the plug can be removed to allow the excess ioniztion to escape?
thanks for the reply and advice. I appreciate it

i will get some pics. It was so bad a few months ago, i was almost stalling due to the misfires. I had a mechanic clean up the distributor so now it does not look bad. I will still send when I can. After he cleaned and...
