What's it Worth Mystery bucket seats, I suspect from a Dart or Duster

No they don't recline, which is why I replaced rather than restored them. I also don't recline too well at the moment, I cooked my back carrying the old seat and installing the new one yesterday. The real price I pay for this hobby.

    Total Rookie - 70 Dodge Charger 500

Nice car Around my part of the world that car would be worth $20k easy the way it sits Who paid for the work that has already been done on it ? Looks like the worst part of it has been done Would not be too hard to finish it off your self even if you needed a couple patches welded in around the...

Clutch adjustment advice (for a hack)

No you can't compare adjuster rod settings. Different pressure plates, different set ups, and the picture I showed you can see in that shot that it's not even tightened up yet. As for "top of pedal", it ain't a truck and dis-engage shouldn't be down at the floor. You should be able to side step...

    Federal or Saginaw ps pump?

Factory used a TRW pump in 1966.. Don't use ATF. Use straight Power steering fluid that does not have stop leak. Your results will be much better, The factory said to use type A trans fluid which is not available these days.

Better get some rubber plugs and pressure test before installing the new one.

Clutch adjustment advice (for a hack)

I’m not sure you can speculate based on that. I’d order the oem spring.no wonder it’s so stiff. At least compared to later 60s car spring anyway. I’d not think that one should be much if any different.

    Restored or driver?

Everyone dreams of doing a high end OEM nut and bolt restoration, and for some that is fine. I have been leaning towards building drivers over trailer queens. I don't have many that are rare enough to warrant a full restoration, and I don't want any car that I can't drive. The stress of keeping...

From what I’ve seen in 2nd gen Chargers… $10G might buy you a title. And some rusty parts you have to get rid of.

    Restored or driver?

Nice driver type cars also seem to be the hardest to find. I think their owners tend to keep them until the bitter end. I've known a few who did. The high end cars often get passed around like trading cards among the champagne and caviar set, and junk always seems readily available.

    Restored or driver?

I have both, and after years in the hobby, I definitely have figured out how I like to roll. My Challenger convertible and my T top Magnum are both very nice cars, but not too nice to drive. I did a concours resto on my T/A. During the fair weather months, I take the convertible and the...

    What's your favorite handgun?

A lot of good choices put up so far. I’ve got a .22,.357 and a 9mm. But, I still defer to John Moses Browning (the master); 2 1911 models both in 5” barrels. Only 7 rds in magazine (?) carry a couple mags with ya.
