I did not run a resistor but am considering. Upon further thought, I think what is happening is when cranking, I'm back feeding power to the electric cooling fan, electric water pump, electric fuel pump and electric vacuum pump, which is in fact easily overloading the 10a fuse.

Thanks for the pics. The bracketry is definitely different. I agree, very sure I have the small but doesn’t look original either. The brackets on mine had turquoise paint under the black respray.

5 on 4.5" pattern is what you need 2006 Dodge Caravan is 5x114.3 which is also actually 5x4.5" the register in the center may still be different (hopefully not too small) & the wheel offset to the inside back spacing is probably is different too, may not matter for just a spare, narrow tire as...

2006 Jeep TJ had the same problem. Turned out to be computer related. Disconnected the battery to reset but the problem would return eventually. Finally just left it alone. Drove it for a couple years with the cold first shift. No damage to the trans as it was "babied" until the first shift occured.

Im looking for a spare tire/rim to keep in the trunk of my 65 coronet. I found a cheap wheel off of a 2006 dodge caravan on craigslist. I asked the seller what the bolt spacing was and he didnt know. All i know is that its a 15” rim. Can anyone tel me if the wheel will fit on my coronet.
