    Damaged Axle during bearing replacement

Just my opinion, as long as it isn't in the sealing area you should be ok with the thought that is just a street cruiser or a show type car. If it were a race car of any sort, it needs to be replaced. Any gash like that can weaken the axle if used or abused hard if you catch my drift.

My new to me 64 Polara

I look at the grille on your black car and see how straight it is. I will have my eye out for a better one. I doubt if I will go off into left field and pay mega bucks for one of those refinished ones I have drooled over at the Nats. If I were restoring a Maxie it might be a different deal. Mine...

Oh, I got one of these too. The one I got the car running with was a Made in China spare. I sold Filko back at the parts store. Good stuff.

They are but they are green with white letters. Not a fan. We also have black plates with white letters which might be pretty sharp.

My title and trunk lock cover are in the state. USPS should deliver it Monday. I may finally be able to get this licensed and insured so I can drive it. Headlight trim, battery hold down will be here today. Anyone have any nifty ideas for a personalized license plate? It can be up to 7...

    Door lock

PB Blaster is some good stuff. I push and hold the button while closing the door to check adjustment and alignment. If it drags , it needs lubed and/or adjusted.

What Choke Are You Using for Your 1973 340?

If I lived as far south as you do I wouldn't worry about the electric choke. I would set it light for cold start and see how long it takes to open fully with just engine heat.

My seat belts just came in from SeatBeltsPlus. They look good. One step closer. One part closer. Now if I ever get my title. It came from Phoenix to Iowa via Queens, New York. Got to love the USPS.

    I hate plumbing

At least you have access. The dummies that did our bathroom before we bought the house installed the tub, built a wall, and covered the bottom with ceramic tile. Wallpaper on the top of course. :mob: :mob:

    I hate plumbing

I helped my oldest install a water softener in his house. We used PEX-A. (with the expansion tool instead of PEX-B with the metal clamps) I had never used it before and as old fashioned as I am, i must say, I was impressed. We had to cut into the main feed near the water meter and run pipe...

Midwest Mopars in the Park 2025

Me too. I hate to even make hotel reservations so far ahead but I can cancel a day or two before the show. You never know what may happen and you can't attend. It sounds like BynaBro has had a hard time of it and I don't blame him for giving up. It's more than frustrating that his issue wasn't...
