My new to me 64 Polara

My title and trunk lock cover are in the state. USPS should deliver it Monday. I may finally be able to get this licensed and insured so I can drive it. Headlight trim, battery hold down will be here today.

Anyone have any nifty ideas for a personalized license plate? It can be up to 7 character's or spaces.
6T4 500 was a thought. POLARA is another. (not really a fan of that)

They are but they are green with white letters. Not a fan.

We also have black plates with white letters which might be pretty sharp.

I look at the grille on your black car and see how straight it is. I will have my eye out for a better one. I doubt if I will go off into left field and pay mega bucks for one of those refinished ones I have drooled over at the Nats. If I were restoring a Maxie it might be a different deal. Mine is just a fun driver.

Ours is nice and straight, no pitting, but has like a white cloud in parts of it... like someone hit it with some acidic cleaner. Still haven't figured out how to get it to shine up..

Damn anodized aluminum. I am no expert but I think you need to strip off the anodizing and polish it. Or, send it in to have it redone. I have fought with the cloudiness on my 66 front end for many years now.

I have used steel wool on the aluminum grill and other trim. It can improve the shine some. Some places it makes a big improvement. Worth a try.

I had the aluminum trim on our last car stripped, and kept it polished I was pleased.

Damn anodized aluminum. I am no expert but I think you need to strip off the anodizing and polish it. Or, send it in to have it redone. I have fought with the cloudiness on my 66 front end for many years now.
