Seems to me that there its a short ground wire on the column bolts that provides a ground. I would think that the column would ground ok without it, and that is all you need to make the light work to complete the circuit.
Modified to a racecar, after having owned it since 1973, my Father in law decided to have some fun before he got too old. Finally ended up with a Hughes Engines spec'd 440 with a an old tunnel ram and dual Holleys...old school on top with modern cam, piston and mildly ported heads. Ran 10.80's...
personally, I would not go back to Moparts. There are numerous other sites out there. Why do you even care that they are that short sighted, I mean really, does it matter that much in the long run?
and you see people complain all the time that a car has too much rust to fix, this just proves that it can be done. Not sure I would do it with a 74 Dart slant six 4 door, but it can be done. Good job on the documentary. LOL
