I did not think the speed sensor was it. I had Hotwire set the computer up for the manual trans so I would say they turned off the auto trans. I will try the throttle body, I can pull the one off my truck so no cost just a little time.
Thanks I will post results.
Looking for any help or ideas, got the car most of the way together took it out for a drive and an having a problem with the motor stalling when you lift off the gas to down shift, slow to turn or stop. Some back ground on the car 2008 5.7 out of truck 17,000 miles, trans is a 5 speed kit from...
Thanks, guess I will not worry about any extra sound proofing for the back of my car. Not sure what my ac lines can off of just went to the junk yard and cut the ends off a bunch of different cars and used the ones that fit the best. Thanks again
Looks great! Just was wondering if with the fuel pump in the tank and the back seat in can you here the pump when you are driving? I installed my fuel pump the same way but, do not the back seat in the car and it is very loud inside of the car. I am running Hooker hearers and turbo flow...
I am about 95% done putting a 5.7 in my 69 Charger still need fresh air system and exhaust, and have spent about $4,750. I did buy the harness and computer (I wanted to finish in my life time) I also had to buy the radiator along with motor mounts, headers, starter and fuel system. I shopped...
So far not to bad but, I have not got it started yet. I got the engine harness an computer can from Hotwire. I plan on wiring it into the factory harness.
I put one of Keislers RS500, 5 speeds, the pedals are stock 69 b-body with Keislers hydraulic clutch set-up. I wanted to use the factory 6 speed out of a new Challenger but with the starter on the right side the headers would not fit. Plus all the other problems with the tunnel and speed o. So...
Its taken the better part of two years, but it is in. I was surprised at how well it went in, it fit better than the big block in my 73 Charger. Got a long way to go put a fuel pump and radiator and it will be running around the neighborhood. Just wanted to show how its going.
I tried all the local shops O'riellys,Auto Zone,Advanced and NAPA they all said they could get a power booster for a 69 Charger with disc until I tried to order it. They all had the same reason no cores. I thought about taken the booster and proportion block off the Volare but I did not know how...
I am changing my 69 Charger from manual drum to power disc. I have got the spindles and front end parts off a 76 Volare, I also have the under dash linkage. However I can't find a stock type power Disc booster. Does anyone know if a power drum booster will work or knows where to get a stock...
Saw a few posts back and Hooker does make headers for b-body conversion, I bought a set for my 69 Charger they look good and were about $600.00. I saw a set of the TTI headers on another 69 Charger and it had melted the drivers side motor mount. I think they will have more clearnce than the tti...
I have a 5.7 motor complete harness and computer out of 08 truck, is there a reason why all I have read and all the people I have talked to tell me to toss the harness and computer and buy after market parts that are made from or close to 04-05 stuff? I am running a manual trans. So all I need...
After 30 years of working on car I should have learned not to listen to an engineer. He went on and on about pressure and flow variation and how it would not work.
One of the engineers I work with came from TRW steering group he told me the new pump would have different pressure but he could not say if it would work or not.
Thanks, I think I will try the new pump.
Just getting a good start on putting 5.7 Hemi in a 69 charger, think I got most of it worked out. Got a 5 speed manual trans coming. I got the motor from a 2008 truck got all the engine harness, computer and all accessories. I plan on using the stock power steering and not sure what pump to...
