Did OP consider putting a BMW steering rack on a b body? That got my attention because of this:
He put an e36 front end (90's bmw 3 series) in a 69 satellite and was built recently. I have not seen that done before, but it appears to handle extremely well. There is another video of this car...
I don't run into these issues and never run a choke. I can start my stroker 499 below freezing with a 6 pack or a 950 brawler at 32F with 10% ethanol blends. Maybe you have a different problem?
Vapor separator is pointless unless you need to look OEM, but using a return line to the tank is useful. I use a Holley fuel pressure regulator with return line and would recommend for those that don't need it to look stock.
Its roughly the same time as roasting, smaller turkeys take maybe 4 hours but plan on more time as needed. Go by temperature in the thigh not time, 165-175F. Make sure to salt the outside and under the skin with some hours in the refrigerator to get a nice smoke ring.
The only benefit of the fried turkey for me is the speed. If you have time, an offset smoker with cherry or apple wood makes a tasty bird. I use the Oklahoma Joe and can smoke 2 turkeys or 6 whole chickens at a time and they come out really nice. I do a brine injection for the turkeys. Brisket...
I autocross regularly and the Tesla plaid with a skilled driver tends to dominate, even over Porsche gt4's. I suspect this drag strip rule is designed to protect the ICE cars feelings not for safety. Even a ridiculous looking cybertruck is fast on a track. Progress never sleeps...but I still...
Agreed. Just hook it up with auto zone rubber hose and clamps. Over the winter you can do 6AN braided or hard lines, plenty of videos on how to do both.
I don't like the 650 avs carbs on a 383, even totally stock. I would shift at 6200rpm with an 800 avs on 383ci, the 650 made it a bit wheezy at higher revs. It comes down to what performance you seek. 383's are fun to rev, and a four speed makes for a good experience. Why choke it with low cfm...
O'Reilly's has Wix, Advanced has coupons that give you sweet deals for online pickup orders, Napa has random electrical and every gauge of spooled wire you need for an old car, and auto zone has...car wax?
There is an auto zone store/regional warehouse here in Dallas, that is one block from yet...
I really like M&H harnesses, very well made and look factory-ish. They look too new and fancy to be factory but the colors line up with the wiring diagrams.
For the ignition problem the forum will need A LOT more info to provide any information. Pictures of the engine bay would help.
While I was never a proponent of the red X and glad it's in the dustbin of FBBO history, I definitely appreciate this thread.. thanks RJ I needed a good laugh today lol
And I really hope you were being facetious...
I've sold through CarMax as a last resort. Their offers are competitive and allow you to avoid dealing with tire kickers and waiting for a serious buyer
This is the way thanks DVW. I go cylinder by cylinder (exhaust and intake) which is slower and requires more bumping the starter but it's easier for me to track. Geoffs method is from mopar and economizes how much you turn the motor over but I prefer using the bump starter and just going...
