Here's an update. Went down to the DMV, and all I got was the third degree-"well why do you want to know?" It was almost like I was an honest thief if there is such a thing. Anyway I couldn't get anyone to help me so here is the vin # XP29H8D186765. Spread the word y'all.
I'm building a mild street 340 with Comp Cams valve train. Comp Cams say to remove the inner springs to break in. Is this really necessary? I'm not using a super high lift cam. Thanks.
Looking to replace the booster on my satellite, but the problem is that there's 2 different boosters available from almost every parts source I find. One has a rod length of 4 3/4" and the other is 5 3/8". My question is how is that measurement determined.
In October of '67 my dad ordered a '68 Charger 383/727 combo that was turqoise with a white interior and top. We would like to find the car if we can. We do know that we have the certicard which as we all know will have the vin #, but just have not been able to locate it after my dads passing...
I was unaware that there were different pilot sizes on the early and later convertors. The 340 I'm building actually came out of a 72 model car and of course the transmission in the car is the original unit that sat behind a poly 318. My '65 model 19 spline tranny convertor will mate directly...
Hey I figured there's a lot of you out there building an early B body with a later cast crank LA engine like me. My problem is I wanted to keep the early cable shift 727/19 spline trans. in my 65 satellite. I was told by many that you couldn't do that because of balance problems. Through much...
I don't know about the headman's. My research led me to believe that they were higher priced than the hooker's. The headers I purchased are non-coated high temp black headers that cost me $170 from Jegs (Jegs part #520-5901). The same headers are available in ceramic coating but cost more...
I was told 70 and later A-body headers would fit from a man who posted a pic of his white 65 bel. on www.1962to1965mopar.ornocar.com. He put a 340 in his. I have a 65 satellite that I'm putting a 70 model 340 in. His as well as mine are hooker's. I'll post the part number this evening.
shroud
I went out to check the condition of the shroud on the 66 belv. last night and I'm sad to say but it bares some damage that could be fiberglassed, but you might want to seek another one. I didn't remember it having a crack that bad. Then again I'm not the spring chicken I used to be...
Belv. II
If it is as solid as it sounds and is reasonably straight running or not I'd say it sounds like a good prospect. I'll be posting pics of my 65 satellite hopefully soon. Good luck!
Have parts will sell
If your working on a 66 or 67 plymouth I have a 66 Belv. II that I'm parting out. If so what are you looking for? The taillights, gas cap, and back up lights already sold on e-bay.
Thanks a bunch!
That's enough to get me started. I used to have a '66 Belv. II that in irony had a 64/65 hood scoop simply because at the time I bought that hood scoop there wasn't an RO/WO-23 scoop available so I'm familiar with the detail you mentioned. Great looking 330. My brother's...
Hey I would appreciate that. I can make several pieces for the cost of one elsewhere. I'm a perfectionist so rest assured it won't look cheesy. Thanks a lot gearhead bill.

Hey folks I'm working on a '65 Satellite. Who offers a repop hemi hood scoop that doesn't cost an arm and a leg? Kramer's web site only says that theirs is to come soon. The 62-65 mopar web site has information on someone who offers one in steel, but it's a little pricy. I also found a...
